Oh dear. I. WANT. THEM!

(this thread isn't doing my lockdown head much good ... having all sorts of nasty flashbacks  )

If you do really like them I think people do sell them on ebay from time to time, they are made by "Sugarlump Studios" I bought them about 20 years ago, from a shop in North Laines that sold cards and posters. I would pick one up every time I visited and got a few as presents. I had them boxed up for a while, during locked down I found them and put them out again.

You can see here which ones were made and when they stop selling them

Oh, thank you.

I don't recognise/remember the blue cat or the little girl on the right? Forget that, just seen rest of your post

They're cool. We have a Magic roundabout waste paper bin in our study at home. and a roll of as yet unused MR wallpaper!

Stop reminding me of work Tom :lolol: some people still have bathrooms like this one.

Is that carpet on the floor and the bath panel?

Maybe people still have them 'cos they were built to last? If it ain't broke and all that.

Seriously though, a plumber told me that he hates working in modern bathrooms (and kitchens) where everything is fitted and pipes are hidden away and inaccessible. Of course maybe he was just being polite (about my 1970s bathroom and kitchen :lolol: )

I've seen plenty of old bathrooms that are in very good condition and clean, I've also seen many modern bathrooms that are rubbish.
The plumber was right, working in some modern bathrooms can be a pain, but anything that's still standing from before the 70s can also be awkward.

Decanters. Does anybody still use these, other than invariably soon to be murdered posh bods in Midsomer Murders?

Probably because of the Dophinarium but these were a common feature on many 1970’s sussex mantle pieces

Ohh, that's definitely from Poole Pottery. I remember going there with the family when I was young (must have been late 80s/early 90's and my mum buying one and CHERISHING it like it was a priceless heirloom.

It's probably knocking about somewhere.

Did anyone elses parents/grandparents have the little crystal figurines? Extra points if they were in a display case of some sort.

I'll see you a load of tat, and raise you something utterly pointless... My dear old Nan had one of these on top of the sideboard, but all Sherry was kept inside the sideboard in it's original bottle.
