Thank you

Marijuana is a plant not a drug and, apparently God wants me to enjoy it :lolol:

Ah. That's not mortality rate, that's total deaths. Mortality rate is linked to the population size.

I see someone else already stated that.

This is my suspicion. If Brit's can get away to the Med this summer then whilst numbers will be well down I can still imagine vast numbers flocking to the sun

Not so sure myself. I can't see vast numbers and neither can industry experts. Many will not want to fly. There is a lot of caution around. Sure, I see the ones out and about who don't really give a flying fig but they are a very, very small minority. Finance plays a part as well. Lots are having to watch pennies. There will be belt tightening going on, particularly with threats of job security.

It’s quite pathetic how obsessed people are with mortality rates and the like at the moment just in order so they can throw some shit at the government, the only way we can truly tell the numbers it’s once this is all over the way countries report deaths is also vastly different. We’ve been under NHS capacity this whole time and everyone has had treatment they need, I’d be willing to lay good money down when the true figures come out Italy and Spain will be well clear of the U.K.

I find it quite despicable how it seems like certain people and members of the MSM seem to take glee in the grim milestones we pass.

It doesn't matter what is going on in the world, if people can score ' political points ' they will. Some attitudes are so ingrained that the slightest bit of bad news and grim statistic that comes out is fuel for the fire. If a global pandemic cannot create ' temporary unity ' against a common enemy, in thought, word and deed, then it never will. In some quarters I don't even see a grudging respect for any difficult decision making that has taken place. Just highlighting every figure/statistic as evidence of poor decision making.

You are welcome to Sweden as well, according to our government.

Ah, too late. Mouldy Boots convinced me with his British holiday thread; I’m spending two weeks in a caravan in Stoke. I would stay in a hotel but I don’t think they have any.

A summer beach holiday to Sweden it is :lolol:

Southern Sweden int he summers is actually hotter and drier than most of the British Isles... perhaps not hotter than in Sussex though, dont know.

Can I bring my own beer. Yours is just silly prices.

Yes... and yes.

Cant drink beer in a pub here without getting ruined. Gotta be drunk when you get there. Prices at Systembolaget are not too bad though

Little wonder it's the Scandos that go completely head-mental when they get to the Canaries for their winter break. Fair puts us Brits and Germans to shame. Strong sunshine AND practically free alcohol? Wouldn't happen in Sweden

Stoke already is over populated by cnunts, please don’t go there and add to the problem.

I still think holidays to certain parts of europe will have to happen, places like the Balearics and Canaries, if they don’t get the summer tourism this year things will never be the same again on these islands. Whether or not they allow U.K. tourism time will tell, I would imagine despite this stuff you read certain places in Europe will be utterly ruined without british tourism.

Only problem with tourist ' hot spots ' in Europe ( e.g Italy and Spain ) is that very few people are going to go there in 2020, apart from their own nationals. All industry experts are saying that this sector will be severely depressed for 2-3 years. I understand the desperation of these countries to stimulate important parts of their economy but they will not ' save the summer ' That is a write-off. There is simply too much caution around to see people flocking out to resorts.
I have spoken to many friends and acquaintances in the UK and every single one has said that they will not be going abroad until 2021.

The article states that the proposal is if tor Germans to travel to other countries, hopefully Spain. This summer different nationals will mingle.
