As strange as it may seem to you, yes, I am very much “in it for myself” when it comes to my holidays. I like to go where I want to go...isn’t that part of the point?

Do you have problems in relationships?

And now he is thinking about the effects on Britain, children and Grandchildren and being selfish.
The drip should have had those thoughts a while back.
He is either taking the **** or he is even more of a thicko than most people already thought.

Unfortunately you are way to stupid to realise, that my belief is Brexit will benefit our kids and grandkids, I can see further than the end of my nose.
You are clearly stuck in what is now the past, try believing in your fellow countrymen, you may find it very good therapy for your resentment.

Hoping to be able to push our Canada holiday back a year from this May to May 2021. Westjet have only offered credit / travelbank rather than a refund but at least its valid for 24 months, so as long as they don't go belly up we'll be able to use it at some point.

The sunny uplands and Brexit opportunities will still come.

I get it. You're in it for yourself and f#ck everyone else.

With this mentality, how long do you think it will take to repair our economy?

Do you have kids or grandkids?

I hope the government give incentives to Pro Britains and those who support the country and nail the guys who spend all their disposable income elsewhere, maybe a 5-year tax on flights going outside the UK for example.

Britain is doing everything it can to help people, why can't people make a minor sacrifices and spend their money within our borders.

This is a time to pull together and show some true grit.

Do we need to invest in the UK because no one else will?

Maybe China will

Our plans for this year were to travel to the States. Teton Mountains, Rock Mountains, Grand Canyon and Lake Tahoe over 3 weeks. Clearly, not gonna happen. All booked by myself, but thankfully American Airlines will allow us to rebook at no cost or cancel. The accommodation and Car hire are fully refundable.

Awesome part of the world. I love planning road trips in the West / Mid-West there's so much to see. Where else are / were you planning to visit?

No, not at all, we need to look after the country because it is breaking the bank to look after us.

It is surely the perfect time to re-evaluate where we spend our dollar and spend probably our biggest outlay outside the mortgage and food bills.

This will give a jump start to the country after lockdown.

In Short, the country are backing us we should also support ourselves and the economy.

I can only assume some are on a wind-up or incredibly selfish.

Flying puts money into the economy via tax.

Let’s see how much they are backing us before we claim they have

I’m sure those who have lost businesses would claim they didn’t support them.

I'm due to be in Portugal at the end of July but that is looking less and less likely to happen. Booked through BA Holidays and they are now saying final deposits not due until three weeks before so keeping options open for now. If not, we will probably switch and do a few City Breaks at the end of the year.

Big holiday to Florida planned for autumn 2021 for our wedding anniversary so hoping that all will be fine by then but wouldn't be flying Norwegian out there anyway.

In an alternate universe, where hundreds of thousands of people around the world haven't died of a virus, I landed in Portugal last night and I'm currently sitting on the beach with a very cheap beer and a book.

As it is, I'm at my desk. In my flat. Working. With nary a beer in sight.

A Super Bock and a super book.

Sorry, really bored today, lots to do but can't be arsed.

That is a slightly skewed figure as many (such as ourselves) have just deferred till 2021

Marketing to help drum up further demand.

Easyjet and other airlines did similar in July when travel bridges got the green light, talk of a stampede. Then when we went to select seats in the booking process to a couple of destinations, in essence the aircraft was ours, even the extra legroom seats normally nabbed by those who diarise flight releases were available.
