Love this one. Oddly enough the company I work for have a sponsorship deal with Swindon Town and as part of that we get to have a game on the pitch every year. Last year I was in the exact same position as Rohan and a perfect cross came over. I saw history repeating itself.... and then picked myself off the floor after a complete air shot.

Preston Park
That must have been some goal if it was better than his one at Brentford.[emoji106]

It has been asked many times if there is any footage of Nels's goal at Brentford. Sadly, none has ever come to light. Might be in some London Weekend archive somewhere??

Yep, that goal Nelse scored at Griffin Park is my all time Albion fave l think. Scored a season or two tooearly for it to be recorded by either club or the media l think. Either way, l've never seen a video of it.

One of the best games in the Amex era, the archetypal game of two half’s. So bad in the first 45 , so good in the second. And James Wilson’s goal was stunning, and he wasn’t sick!

Superb, probably after the Sheff Wed home victory in our promtion season, with the infamous double penalty save by Stockers, my favourite Amex game.

Here is a thing of great beauty which I watched from the East terrace, much the same as the camera angle.

Was in the NW corner with some mates so didn't have the best view but remember saying I couldn't wait to see the goal on MOTD. My memory seems to let me down more and more these days but I'm sure one of the regional TV programs did a pre-match feature on the game or it was an article in the Argus, and they talked to our head groundsman (and former player) Frankie Howard. He admitted that he went out on the pitch and painted most of the bald spots with green emulsion prior to the game so the pitch looked good on the TV!
:lolol:

And I loved watching Willie Irvine, one of my favourite players from that era.
