Coming up from the station, and trying to get round to the West Stand is going to be a nightmare, with hundreds of people stood in the way, gawping at the big screen.

Unless there’s a large space to walk in front of the screen. There’d be no point standing directly underneath the screen as you wouldn’t be able to see anything. Also, there’s a reasonable chance that the club will position barriers to allow passage beneath the screen without obstructing anybody’s view of the screen.

So walk up the slope to the West Stand rather than use the steps

Without starting another thread, I have wondered if the club can find space for any more sinks for hand washing?

From memory the various loos I've visited in the Amex have about 3 wash hand basins each to deal with up to about 30 people using the loos at any one time.
I think the 'new normal' world that we eventually return to after lockdown will see more hand washing happening and for longer.

I'll hazard a guess upon our return we'll never be further than a Maty Ryan goal kick away from a hand sanitizer dispenser.

Whenever i see ya posts you always conjure up an image of someone.........you totally remind me of Ian Hislop. Smug.

Ya last two replies have been 'bless' and 'whatever'. The 'voice of reason' aint got much to say. Night night Ian.

What, in your opinion, was the correct response, to a weirdo on the internet, spoiling for a spat late at night, when he'd had a couple of shandies?

May I suggest the button that you have and I don't that should have been applied to this moron long ago?

be decent if there are a few bars to get beers. If have to queue then not so good and nt appealing.

Minimal queues then will happily loiter here rather than the concourse

I heard there was a plan to potentially move the club shop out of its current location and round to behind the East Stand where the hotel was originally going together with new club offices. This would then allow the club shop to become a bar / food court and the current North stand offices becomes more corporate hospitality space. This could be the reason for the mini club shop in the Fan Zone development? Anyone else heard this?

It makes sense, this latest development is just another addition to the ever evolving stadium and surroundings. I’m sure once the hotel finally goes ahead there’ll be space for either a large bar and catering facilities, or alternatively a club shop with the existing shop being used as a new bar. The North Stand offices are already earmarked to be replaced by corporate hospitality for the additional tier that’s going up in the North Stand.
In know it’s sad, but I really enjoy watching the steady evolution of the stadium, I can see eventually it will kind of be its own little village with ample options for drinking and eating before entering the stadium.

Love the look of this and great to see that we're keeping artists in employment at these difficult times.

I can see there is one bit of a kiosk which is dedicated to food and drink. At the moment there are a few stalls (what is it? Chips, Harveys and burger stall at the moment?), each of which has quite long queues. If there's only going to be one stall, presumably for food and beer ..... plus presumably a lot more people milling around outside to watch the big screen etc, is there going to be anywhere near enough serving capacity?

Not moaning. Think the club have done really well here

Both of the buildings have a food and drink kiosk with a proper queuing system in place. Look at Uter’s post #9 which has a graphic showing the floor plan of each building. One of the artist’s impressions suggestions one is a chip shop and the other a burger bar, I’d hope both kiosks offer the same menu for obvious reasons.

We wrote in agreement about this recently.

I too enjoy the way the stadium has changed massively without ever looking like it's changed, year on year.

That said a freakin mahhooossive TV outside the ground might challenge my love of unnoticeable changes.

Agreed, it’ll be hard to slip that into the landscape without being too obvious. I like that the design of the new bars/kiosks compliments the stadium, a far better option, certainly aesthetically, than a row of portacabin type outlets.

Where's the Harveys gone?!

Had heard the Harvey's is being replaced by Skol and it's going to be £11 a pint, that's what Fred in the pub said, and he knows a stewards Wife who once cut Teddy Maybank's hair.

Just imagine opening this up for England or away games, watching Boxing?

It’s not sad at all. The Goldstone, when we had it and despite the happy memories, was a third division shit heap. Hardly any improvements had been made in the thirty years that I’d been watching the Albion there. Withdean is/was not a football ground and was always going to be a stop gap measure - a long twelve years admittedly.

The Amex though is something to be rightly proud of. I still get a buzz when going up the slope from Falmer station, and, as you say, the evolution of the stadium makes it better each time something is added or improved on.
