You weren’t at the Liverpool game at the Amex last season? Probably the most biased reffing I have ever seen.

90% of the 50/50s were free kicks to Liverpool and Salah’s penalty to win the game was an outrageous decision.

Maybe I’m too biased, draw your own conclusion

Shame we didn't have VAR for that Salah' penalty'!!

I have some sympathy with the officials when some of the best players are also the best at deception. Salah, Hazard, Zaha, they get fouled a lot because of their skills, but they also develop the art of seducing officials into giving them decisions. The better the team, the more players they seem to have to be able to exploit that. They also have the ball more, so tends to feel like they're getting more decisions.

I know it was contentious which is why I posted it, I think the way the rest of the game went clouded my opinion possibly. Although I still think Salah threw himself backwards with such force that it couldn’t possibly have been from the hand on the shoulder. I don’t see the hard tug that would have caused that.

Fair enough. It that was an Albion player, we would all be saying it's stonewall ...

Agreed.

Watching the highlights of the United v Watford game at the weekend, I was convinced that Fernandes went down over Foster instead of Foster bringing him down, but I'm not surprised it was given.

That was 5live’s conclusion on the day, Fernandes was deliberately falling before any meeting of bodies. He cheated. Incredible, well not really, that the VAR official didn’t have the balls to say no pen and a yellow to the cheat.

I can't recall one controversial decision by Massey -Ellis. She always seems to run the line towards the North in front of the East Stand and has always been largely anonymous (as she should be) Very happy to have her running the line

Disallowed a goal for us at Millwall last season which wasn’t offside

How about flagging locadia offside at Millwall when he headed in to win us the game when it was way onside?

The one that springs to mind is this one - GIF Video Jurgen Locadia Wrongly Disallowed Offside goal vs Millwall 2019 | Referee Sian Massey Ellis mistake FA Cup 2019 - however, I can't blame her for getting that wrong, I reckon it is just about impossible to expect a human being to get decisions like that consistently right (when you consider the pace football is played at and the impossibility of simultaneously viewing two different areas of the pitch at once, ie the pass-maker and the recipient of the pass).

I agree with you - from what I have seen of her she is very competent at her job.

1) It wasn't Locadia who was flagged offside.
2) You think this represents "way onside"? I'll have some of whatever you are smoking....

Agree, extremely difficult decision. Cant blame her, its 50-50 any assistant ref gets this wrong/right.

I could have blamed her if it cost us a place at Wembley .
