Recently, the end of 1917 last 20-30 mins. Probably because I thought of my Great Great Uncle who fell in WW1, but I was nearly howling when it ended. So powerful.

Funnily enough, just seem tonight and was thinking of the scene when he dies after being stabbed. Incredibly moving, the colour draining from his face and talking about his mum. Well acted. Very well acted. Lump in the throat moment, definitely.

The Russian Roulette scene in The Deer Hunter.

Incredibly powerful, especially in the context of the film itself.

Robert de Niro and Christopher Walken’s finest hour.

There were so many parts of that film that I found very distressing. Bothered me for at least a week afterwards, no other film has done that

Sorry bit predictable but the first half hour of Saving Private Ryan left me exhausted. The experience was enhanced by my mate showing off his new 5.1 surround sound system and the bullets were bouncing round the room.

But none were true so don’t have nightmares.

And that scene rightly called out as utter nonsense by critics at the time as “a racist attack on the Vietnamese people, articles in Harper's. The Los Angeles Times, Seven Days and L.A. Weekly have called the film “a lie,” “a criminal violation of the truth” and a “horrific history” in which‐ all the non‐Americans are ”sweaty, crazy, vicious and debauched.”

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
There's a scene in 'Black Swan' that had me reaching for the Kleenex.

There was a scene in "Debbie Does Dallas" that had me doing the same.
