He's been touted as a future chancellor for a while; young, smart and actually has a passion for economics so I'd be keen to give him a chance, were it not for the fact that he's bent over for Cummings and I suspect will be severely limited in his ability to act autonomously. The overall lack of talent at the top end has made it easier for No.10 to push the land grab faster than expected. Anyway, good luck to him.

Especially as we had a considerable role in deciding whether what these 'unelected bureaucrats' proposed were transferred into law; indeed many of these officials were British. Now we have taken back control, how are we supposed to get rid of Dominic Cummings?

A similar feel (albeit played out slightly less in public eye) to the early days of Trump (and elsewhere). An uneasy alliance of global capital (Javid's home team) and populist/nationalists (Cummings, Banks etc) coming together to put a figurehead 'useful idiot' into power - someone with little about them beyond the desire to be in power.

Nobody voted Dominic Cummings in (or Zac Goldsmith or Nicky Morgan for that matter). And I certainly didn't vote Johnson in.

He / they come with the territory. Those that complain about BJ now bit voted Tory are beyond contempt. A bigger list of warnings as to how he’d govern probably not been seen since that old Austrian corporal applied for a job in politics. Just goes to show how reckless and moronic people are. Even when it’s written down in ink, stating I will kill you/destroy you/lead you into war and oblivion...millions of lightbulbs go on in the polling booths aka ‘that’s the man I want to lead my country, tick!’
