The sooner we get the next win the better things will be. Need a win from our next 2 games otherwise I think we will be down.

Not sure any of those options quite sum up my current feeling. At present, we look like we're heading down, but I certainly don't feel like "Panic. We're going down for sure."

We need some changes in our selection and approach, or we are in the brown stuff, but I do think Potter will continue to tinker until he finds it. I just hope when he DOES find it, he stops tinkering. My concern is that he won't stop, and we'll continue to ebb and flow in performance levels, with the effect being disruptive overall, and leaving us just the wrong side of the line.

I think we will hang on - just. Norwich will go down and despite yesterday I think Bournemouth will go with them. So that leaves one spot and a few that could occupy it - reckon we will get away with it.

For me a big fat yes. Like CH who literally had no idea we have someone who has too many (yet still plays Webster) and thus every game is a buggers muddle, team selection as well as game plan. One constant is fannying about at the back which seems to be our undoing.

Everyone says we have winnable matches coming up but out of the last 2 'winnable' matches we got 1 point, unless there is some serious strengthening this week or Potter picks a side prepared to scrap and preserve a lead then there is no chance of avoiding the drop

No, our priority must be to have defenders who know how to pass more than defend, and that we keep players on their to3s by rotating, even if they’ve had a blinder the game before. The coach must show who is boss, but very subtly

Touch and go, but my radar this year says we will not be good enough.

We have picked up points where we were not supposed to and have thrown away points which we should have taken.

Let's see what happens between now and 31 January.

I don't know is the simple answer - nobody does.

It's fine margins - their keeper makes an excellent save at 0-0 - that goes i and we probably win comfortably.

At the moment, we concede first, we lose - especially away from home.

Management needs to look at the side he picks - picking AJ last night away from home was very strange - and IMO Duffy should have started - hindsight eh?

I understand some rotation, but he doesn't seem to know his best side.

IF I was a betting man I'd say we'll just be safe - and BTW B'muff will go down. (As will Norwich, so that only leave ones spot!)

Never underestimate Smug Eddie, if we finish above them we are pretty well guaranteed to stay up imo. He knows what it takes, Potter doesn’t FACT

They have the excuse of a terrible injury crisis for their lowly position, we don’t.

I reckon we’ll be in the mix right to the wire, but I am still bloody loving this season, even if we have gone off the boil.

Its a long way from decided.. our results, whilst disappointing on Saturday because we were in front and last night because we should have been in front , suggests we can pick up points from teams that last year we would have written off. Plenty of opportunities yet, but I think it will be a very close run thing..

Villa and Norwich are worse than us.
Bournemouth haven't looked good until last night and got Lucky against us. Let's see if this reignites their season or not.
West Ham are not impressing and could struggle to get clear.
Watford just lost to Villa and may have just had a bit of new manager bounce.

4 pts from our next 2 games will keep us above these 5 teams.
Pretty important we put in 2 decent performances.

Would that be the 'CH' who kept the team in the Premier League last season? ???

I actually agree with the general gist of your post, but it seems a bit odd that you use an example of a man who *didn't* get us relegated...

I think we may just stay up.

Should we get 0 or 1 points against West Ham and Watford, and fail to recruit first team quality this month, I think’ll we’ll drop.

Not based solely on our own lack of results, but because several rivals are spending their way out it, or have several seasons of PL nouse allied with some very good players to fight their way out of it. Based on the age-old formula of quality finishers and s rock solid defence.

We're only one point behind Giraffe's tracker. Which implies we should be okay. And oddly, I think we play better against the bigger teams this year - so will get a few unexpected points.

I don't think we'll go down but we'll make staying up way harder for ourselves than it needs to be, it's the Brighton way

It’s a real shame we didn’t sneak three or four much-deserved wins when we played so well at the start of the season.
I had a feeling that would cost us.
