Here in Canada, TSN runs a daily competition where two sporting moments of skill face off in a straight vote. The winner goes on to defend their title the next day. Alireza's goal against Chelsea has won 9 straight days and today if he wins he will retire an undefeated champion in their hall of fame. The bad news is that he is currently losing 61 to 39 %. The good news is the voting isn't over and you can vote every 5 seconds. In NSC I trust. Hopefully it isn't geo-limited.

I was sitting in Toronto Airport on Friday night and glanced up to see Ali in mid-cycle on the TV. I just assumed this was normal stuff and all part of our premier league global profile, thanks for providing some context. I was in Santander in the summer and loads of bars, were showing our pre-season friendly live and yet it really doesn't seem that long ago, I was off to the first game at Withdean and just glad to start seeing the odd Brighton shirt re-appear around town. This was also the era when you could catch a coach from Lancing Sports Centre, which would whisk you away to watch top class football at your local side Charlton Athletic.#

Have given Ali a few clicks.

As a big ice hockey fan, Forsberg's goal for the Predators was insanely good to see.

But I can't vote against our Ali J.

Just out of interest, what the hell is a Lacrosse toss?

I'm not sure I really want to know

In essence, the Hockey player in question (Nashville Predator's Filip Forsberg) scooped the puck onto his stick and whilst skaking around from the back of the net, flicked the puck into the net. Here's a vid to better explain it:
