I am not saying anything against White as I consider him to be a great prospect but could he turn out to be another Webster a very good championship player who we all hope may turn out to be a Premier quality one in time.

So we know Webster is your new scapegoat (Kayal replacement). White is max one season behind Webster in his development - they're both still prospects in PL terms.

Reckon Leeds will come up.

Can seehim prefering to stay there but surely we wont sell unless at least 20m

Would be huge nod to our academy to get that sort of price.

Prefer to keep and see if he can cut it in the prem. It's one thing bossing the champ but the prem is different kettle of fish

Exactly what I suggested as I am sure that Webster will come good but has been thrown in the deep end too early and I think White will follow suit and both will eventually be good Premier players.

Don't forget that Ben was released by Southampton at 16:)lol:). He had trials for us, Leicester City and Bristol City and chose us.

Will have some loyalty as we helped develop him into what he is now.

I think that we should recall White and possibly offer Duffy to replace him.

Ben White is OUR player. For as long as we think it is in HIS and OUR best interests for him to remain at Leeds, he'll remain at Leeds.

If we decide otherwise, we can recall him. If we do so, that is that. We don't need to offer them anything.

.....but you're proposing that we recall him in January. Any chance you could make your mind up ?

It's amazing that even needs to be written.

Well, Norwood proved himself in the championship at least 3 times and was never given the opportunity in the PL with us and was sold to what turned out to be a rival for pocket money in PL terms. Can’t see it happening with White, but let’s hope the club doesn’t make the same mistake twice.

That really isn't a valid comparison.

When we sold Norwood (January this year) he was 27, and he'd played over 250 times at Championship level - more than enough time for all parties to have a clear idea of his attributes, capabilities and scope for any further progression.

Ben White turned 22 a month ago, has played about 15 times at that level, and has taken the division completely by storm. The legions of Leeds (and Newport and Peterborough) fans, Sky Sports and a big cohort of the nation's print media are besotted with him.

The club are acutely aware of what they have here.

Indeed. It's a very odd suggestion that we might make an offer 'in return' for an asset we already own, although I suspect BG might have meant for early release.

apologies am an old git can't figure out how to edit.

Having a bit of fun on FAcebook today, On the EFL page Jobi McAnuff ( I had to Google him) says White should be called up for England....!!!! hes never kicked a ball in the top League yet and now someone ( a nobody) wants him called up for England..

Anyway I put a reminder that he was a BHA player and probably not for sale......well the arrogant Leeds fans started.
'Hes only good because Bielsa coached him'
'He will be signing for Leeds at the end of the season'
'He wont go back to BHA it will be like saying goodbye to a Ferrari and getting in a Fiat'
'If Brighton thinks he was so good why did they send him to Leeds to learn his trade?'
'Imagine being in the Premier League and loaning your best defender'

The arrogance knows no bounds.......I hope and pray Leeds fail again.

Just remind them that it’s not uncommon to send out promising youngsters to LOWER LEAGUE clubs to learn their trade. Happens all the time.

He was player of the season at Newport, too. I agree with you about the arrogance of Leeds fans.

Rather have Norwood than Propper tbh.

I'm sure West Brom fans were saying the same thing last season about Harvey Barnes of Leicester. And if Bielsa's coaching improves Ben White and we reap the benefit, then great.

Of course, if Leeds are promoted and White wants to stay there, then there will be a discussion to be had. And perhaps a large amount of money coming our way, with a number of add-ons.
