Matt Ryan 8 - world class saves etc, as usual. If he was a bit better with his feet and in the air he would be consiered a top, top keeper

Dan Burn - Im just gonna go ahead and avoid him again. Its difficult. Every team tries to abuse his lack of speed and mobility and when they create something its often from his wing. On the other hand this is a 197 cm left wing back who week out and week in performs decent against the best and fastest wingers and wing backs of the world.

Lewis Dunk 7 - good, lost the strikers a few times but generally yet another class performance.

Adam Webster 8 - no mistakes today and a nice lil goal to add to that.

Steven Alzate 7 - just a very mature and competent player and seems able to play in any position

Aaron Mooy 9 - world class midfielder. I was sceptic about signing him permanently as we need to add more pace, but... I'll have to back out of that one. Of course he needs to be bought.

Dale Stephens 7 - did Dale Stephens stuff.

Davy Pröpper 6 - some people whining about him today again but I think he was alright. Really needs a goal or something to boost his confidence a bit.

Pascal Gross 6 - not too succesfull in the open play and while a few free kickcs and corners were so-so, I think his delivery most of the time was good enough.

Aaron Connolly 7 - the man got a bit of tunnel vision and overcomplicates a few things but his running and ball control always makes it feel dangerous when he is on the run.

Neal Maupay 9 - was my man of the match already before the goal. Really showed class tonight; the running, the pressure, the ability to get to shooting positions, the goal, even his playmaking is really good. Give it two years and the man will be considered one of the best (or at least most useful) forwards in the world.

Montoya 7 - he sort of played too little but it somehow felt safe and nice to have him on the pitch tonight.

Tross & Duffy played too little.

Everyone a 10 in my eyes due to the shift they put in.

In particular, Mooy was bloody awesome and I thought Davy (minus a few backwards passes) was really good tonight.

We were a team, Arsenal were 11 quality players not playing as a team. 10 for all of them from me. MASSIVE win

Ryan 7 would have been an 8 but the goal we conceded really grated.
Alzate 8 is a phenomenal player, poise, energy and discipline.
Webster 7 very composed goal a tad too casual in distribution which puts pressure on the team unnecessarily
Dunk 7 just love this man, can see him scoring mire goals this season
Burn 8 he has so much energy and constantly looks to get forward, had his hands full with the 70 million pound Pepe but did really well.
Stephens 8 what a player, a different man to last year and he must love playing for Potter
Proper 7 we have seen the real Proper in the last 2 games
Mooy 10 how good is this guy, a Rolls Royce of a player. One of the best midfield performances, I have seen from a Brighton player. I’ve never given a 10 in a player ratings. I would break the bank to get him in the window.
Connolly 8 draws so many free kicks, absolute school boy player in the best sense in that he chases everything and gives everything
Maupay 8 beautiful header for the goal, aggressive and dynamic but doesn’t always pick the best option.
Gross 7 another player who has done well under GP, intelligent and full of good ideas
Montoya 8 thought he was the perfect substitute and a real quality player to bring off the bench with so many games coming up, it’s great to have depth in the squad
Trossard 7 lovely lovely player, would have been a goal of the year contender if it had gone in. A genuine world class player in the making
Duffy 8 love the man, such a disciplined player and character

Potter 10 phenomenal manager, changed tact when needed, gives the players carte Blanche to play joyous, positive football and his impact on our club has been outstanding. We have come through a very tough spell but not once have the players heads dropped or Potters philosophy been abandoned. A wonderful time to be a Brighton fan.

Opposition absolutely woeful one ten minute spell of sustained pressure, no urgency in defense that is one team in need of a complete overhaul.

Referee 8 thought he was really good, let the game flow and didn’t fall for Arsenal’s desperate attempts to get free kicks

Ryan: 8 - Didn't do much wrong at all - one minor handling error in the 1st half but not much he could do with the goal. Assured.
Alzate: 8 - Slotted in well at RB and a great covering block to deny Aubameyang. Versatile and composed.
Dunk: 7 - Not a vintage night but led well and wasn't often troubled.
Webster: 8 - Like Dunk, not often troubled at the back but well taken goal. Reprieved.
Burn: I did panic when I realised he was going to be facing Aubameyang and Bellerin, but neither saw much success down his side. Imperious.

Mooy: 9 - MOM for me. I had my doubts when we signed him but he really has become an important part of the team. Sign him permanently pls.
Stephens: 7.5 - Did what he had to do well, had far too much space in midfield.
Propper: 7 - Not sure why some were piling on him in the first half. Wasn't as good as he has been the past few games but still did ok.

Gross: 7 - Could have given away a penalty or two in the first half. Set piece delivery generally good and left a few for dead with the ol' Gross turn.
Maupay: 8 - A menace and marked up for his goal, which was excellent. Him and Connolly are good together.

Connolly: 7.5 - Ran his heart out and caused their back line ALL SORTS of problems, even though he didn't get many sights of goal. Surprised to see him hauled off but it worked out in the end.

Subs:
Montoya: 7 - Didn't see much of the ball but didn't do anything wrong with it.
Trossard: 7 - Composed with the ball and could have sealed it at the end. They hated him being on.
Duffy: n/a - not on enough to really impact the game.

A great team effort and a great result - confidence will be SKY high now and fully deserved.

a galaxy far far away
Some good marks coming

Ryan - 8 - Not busy, but solid with what he had to do

Alzate - 8 - A wonderful footballer. Clearly filling in as doesn't really understand how to play someone offside, but fantastic cover to stop Aubamyang
Burn - 8- Making me question my sexuality. Ridiculously attacking
Dunk - 8 - Brilliant as ever. Superb vision to start the move for our winner
Webster - 7- Well done for the goal. Need to mark up tighter sometimes

Stephens - 7- Acres of space in the centre circle. He won't get that every week. Weak in the tackle on one occasion which nearly cost us.
Propper - 8- Again, loads of space to get his head up and play his outside of the foot passes and generally look a million dollars (or probably 40million)
Mooy - 9.5 - Oooooh. Inventive, strong, good off both feet, no obvious weaknesses when on the ball, incredible vision. Don't care if we've lost £21m Bloom, ask Hudds how much they want and pay it
Gross - 7- Got forward really well in the first half, but drifted out in the second. Delivery always a threat

Connolly - 7.5 -A constant pain in Arsenal's arse. Development point has to be about having a greater awareness of what's around him when running with the ball
Maupay - 8- He likes running. Arsenal don't

Amazon - 1 - Buffered, talked endlessly about Arsenal despite Dixon trying to bring it back onto us. Crap presenter. Worst of all, there was a delay. My phone told me Webster scored before the corner was taken

You've got to be a pretty small person to be handing out 6's.

What's the fudging point in watching if you'd rather be critical than forgiving?

Glad everyone noticed how good Alzate is. Even though I prefer him further forward. I’m so confused on Burn. Doesn’t get right enough and gets done for pace a lot and isn’t a left back - but always seems to also play alright / well at the same time. 2 new full backs needed for me - although I do rate Bernardo highly.

I really dont care what Radio Sussex, the TV team or the surviving Bee Gees-guy thinks about Stephens or anything else. I'm allergic to "celebrity opinion" and "twitter trends" etc. I judge from my own perception. I was close to giving him an 8 though, he had a good game. Looking at it statistically, to see if my eyes have missed out on something really obvious and important, I cant really see much reason to see his performance today as significantly better than what he usually does.

Nah I think I'm considerable larger than the average cheerleader though admittedly some got pretty big pompoms.

Ehh... what?

Whats the point of wearing a red tie if its raining? Why do we eat fish if the sun is shining?
