150 lead, you probably wouldn't want to chase more than 180 or so?

I don't understand why this is being said by so many people. Perhaps on day 5 in a low scoring affair but on a day 3 wicket I don't think it's particularly challenging.

If England get 11 more runs, Ireland would have to make the fourth highest score to win a match at Lord's

That's a steep challenge. England are comfortable favourites from here

Ideally we need the last wicket to put on another 20 before it falls. The odds would then be in England's favour despite the performance of Bairstow and Moeen Alli with the bat.

The odds are already in England and Wales favour.

But, they would have to do it on a 3rd day wicket, NOT a 5th day wicket, and therein lies the difference !

Absolutely amazed that for the first ashes test England are 10/11 favourites and Australia 6/4, some of the discipline and shots offered from our batsman yesterday and the first day were absolutely abysmal against a disciplined but let’s be honest extremely average bowling attack that Ireland have. Starc, Cummins and Patterson will be laughing their heads off.

It’s a good pitch to bat on, Jack Leach a number 11, showed that you can score with a bit of application, even Roy I know he made 70 odd but I’m unconvinced... sure he can smack a boundary but I don’t see the technique of a test opener, he should be in the middle order, the top order is an absolute disgrace and a total shambles just a week before the first test
