Do people really go on this show and think *love* is on the menu ?

Surely it is about fame, winning the game and making some money off the back of it ?

That's my assumption about the show, I wouldn't give it even a passing thought if there was no official thread on NSC.

There must be quite a bit of "acting" in this series given it follows roughly the same format year on year yet the OMGs when someone gets a text and then they have to do something which happens every year.

I agree that is the agenda for most of the contestants, but i know for sure that's not the case for Tommy.

Obviously it appears to have been at far too much expense when you look at the fact we've had 2 suicides and a 3rd when you include the partner of one of the suicides.

But we don't know what else those people may have done to "become famous" and how it would have affected them when they did, or failed to do so, or became famous and then fell away from that World.

You have to believe that ITV have upped their post-show care for each of them, and have gone into better detail with them beforehand so that they are better prepared for what is in store for them, and able to weed out those that may not be able to cope. Although he may not share it with us on here, I would be fascinated to hear from our own man on how the TV company handles this.

As for the programme-makers (welfare is someone else's job) they do a wonderful job of creating dramas, suspense, and emotion, which is the job they have been tasked with.

I see the unnecessary nastiness is still going on this thread. You’d think NSCers would show a little more respect knowing that the father is a long time ardent Albion fan who was a big part of “saving” the club. Maybe some of those posting these remarks weren’t Albion fans back then.

Makes me a little sad as I think NSC is a fantastic Albion community.

Whether they were Albion or not, what they've posted, says far, far more about themselves than anything else.

I am not talking about you and did not suggest that it was you who had made the comments, you responded to my previous post with a snide dig at the father which SEEMED to suggest that you didn’t have a problem with what I suggested was nasty and unnecessary. All because of how you view the father.

Anyway I’ll leave it at that, Harty is quite capable of looking after himself, it was an observation, that’s all. It certainly isn’t going to change anything.

Tbf I think the comment re the disabled wasn’t intended to be that and was apologised for... bit harsh bringing that up. We all say the wrong things in the moment & unfortunately that was on live radio!
