Ollie McBurnie? Or a young one to bring on and as back up to Andone and Locadia. I thin k that TB could go against his principles and stick with what we have to see how they do and then if needed buy in January.

We have a young one to bring on as back up. His name is Aaron Connelly.

I'd be pretty confident with Murray starting, but as the season goes on you'd like to think that the players we've signed to transition into the team would start actually getting to play. Andone looks a quality player and Locadia can finish - the three of them have very different strengths. I'm very confident that we've got good quality throughout the squad, but they need to start justifying the belief.

Think both will feature quite significantly, with Glenn perhaps making some contributions from the bench. I'm thinking (hoping) a lot of Andone's obvious anger last season was due to tactics, support up top/formation not suiting his game at all and being second choice behind a 34 year old. Lots more to come from him. Locadia is an intelligent footballer who might thrive - they were good goals against Millwall and Arsenal. Think he's far more likely to shine than Ali J. I know, I'm at that 'blind optimism' point of pre-season at the moment until reality kicks in :D:D

No where near ready if needed in an emergency, as he has shown in cup games, so will probably have a season loan at a lower league club then perhaps he will be ready for the step up. He is still only 19 years old so time is on his side. When I said young I was meaning about 21/22 and with potential like Bissouma

I don’t see Murray starting often

Based on potters previous systems I’d see both of them starting as a new strike partnership

Connolly has played 22 minutes in L1 and is still only 19. He's almost certainly going to be loaned out again this season instead of being on the fringes of a premier league squad not getting any game time.

What cup games has he played in? I must have missed them.

Fairly sure he played in a League cup game as I have seen him play at The Amex and cant think of when else it could have been.

He's only ever made two appearance for the first team, in the League Cup in the last 2 seasons, 14 minutes v Barnet and last year , 1 minute v Southampton.

If Potter makes Jahanbakhsh, Locadia and Andone all effective premier league footballers at the same time in the same team, I will literally be on wand watch.

He won't, we can all but guarantee at least one will fail.

But, they'll each be given a decent opportunity to prove themselves and prove Mr Bloom's £35m investment sound.

I'll be amazed if AK is as 'favoured' in the future as he has been in the past.
I'd put Solly in the same bracket as Big Jurg and Ali as a player who could produce so much more, if he takes to the new manager.
Although he has to advantage or should that be disadvantage that he'll be doing that from an elevated position.

I think that you can gauge a player being ready in a a very few minutes. I once went to watch a CB playing for Cambridge, name alludes me, for Barry LLOYD and after a few minutes I realised that he wasnt as good as we had at the club already and reported as such. He was signed by Mansfield and 12 months later let go non league. FWIW watching Locadia against Coventry I said to my family that he would be good and I stick by that prediction.

Tell me you weren’t responsible for Matt Edwards or that useless non league lump who replaced Saunders (name eludes me)

As far as I can see McBurnie is going to Sheff Utd (along with Maupay?) as he is a Yorkshire lad (who plays for Scotland). I think a Striker will be our new record purchase. It's so important to score a lot more goals than we did last season that the Striker HAS to be the most important acquisition, and we need to get it right.

No nothing to do with me, I think that Richard Tiltman was a Lloyd protege. I did recommend Paul Rogers when playing at Sutton but he went to Sheff Utd but eventually came to us. Also Trevor Stevens at Burnley as a 15 year old and we all know how his career went. Most that I was sent to watch I said werent good enough or no improvement on what we had and none went on to better things than us.

Hmmmm BG telling us of a 'failure' he scouted and insisted the club should sign.

Dunno about you but that seems somewhat unlikely to me.
