Please god no. In fact I don’t think there’s a single United player I can think of that I’d want! Unless they want to loan us the Swansea winger chap

McTominay would be a good upgrade on someone like Stephens. Plus that Rashford kid looks handy...

Not happening, said it a few times.

Might change if a big club stumps up the cash, which will be quite a bit more than 30M.

Exactly, if Leicester represents the sum total of Dunk's ambitions, wages notwithstanding, we may as well all pack up and go home now. He'll have eyes on much bigger prizes than little old Leicester.

Leicester who were champions of England only a couple of years back.

Don't agree at all.

A move to Leicester guarantees his place in the Premier League, all but guarantees a starting place in a top half team, gives him a much improved chance of getting into the England squad, gives him an outside chance of European football in the next few years, and gives him another outside chance of another move to a top 6 club if he excels there in his first two years. Oh yes and probably doubles his wages.

Really? Leicester have a very good chance of Europa League football I'd say. The state Chelsea / Arsenal are in, I think the teams 6th-10th have a good chance of mixing things up in European places.

I'd wager Leicester have more chance of 'success' than us in the next 3 years.

Every year I make a bold prediction which collapses by September/October.

This year:

Leicester will get into the top 6 next season

The way I see this is that there's about a 50/50 chance that this Maguire to Man U goes through. Then there's another 50/50 chance that Leicester decide Dunk should be a replacement. If they do decide this, then he's gone.

Bloom will initially play hardball to up the fee and might turn down a bid or two, but Dunky has done his dues here and Bloom, out of respect to Lewis, and with one eye on the morale of the rest of the squad (who may aspire to be in a similar situation in the future), won't stand in his way.

Do we have any evidence that Leicester City have ever been interested in Dunk ?

Way out west
Why would Dunk want to up roots from Brighton. Highest paid player on a long contract. Family settled in a new house.

Having lived in Leicester for five years in the seventies - 90 miles from the sea at Skegness - compared to Brighton - no contest.

We ought to have a 'bold predictions' thread.

Beyond the already made, and a little fencey:-

'1, 2 or living the dream, all 3 of Chelsea, Arsenal & Utd, have spectacularly bad seasons'.

My actual bold prediction, doomed to failure, is that Wolves were a one hit wonder and will be all but relegated by Nicholas Van Hoogstraten's birthday (end of Feb).
