Some of the posts here make us look quite entitled.

You do have a point, in general. So many vitriolic threads and posts against other managers, fanbases, etc on NSC in the last two years. Sometimes baffling stuff such as Newcastle, Rafa, Glasgow Rangers ... who’s supporters have absolutely zero interest in the fortunes of BHAFC. Whilst we’re stinking the PL out. We really have not ‘made it’.

I'd happily sign Neal Maupay. 27 goals in an average team, albeit one that does create a lot of chances, is good going. Only 22, so will get better. But we'd have to change the way we play a bit to get the most out of him, Watkins and Benrahma/Canos give him a regular diet of chances.

But Henry Winter told us all in The Times last week that the Premier League needs a massive club like Leeds. The flip side of which is that it doesn’t need dull little clubs like Brighton, as many of their fans were keen to point out. How will the Premier League continue to cope without them?!

I have a Leeds supporting friend and, much as I dislike Leeds, we all know how painful on a personal level
this thing can be, irrespective of who you support. So I can't gloat and I wouldn't. At the end of the day, we all
love the game.

You'll find it quite surprising that boards of other clubs are full of the same.

It's almost as if it isn't unique to us.

Looking at a small sample of the away section of Saintsweb and BBS, there are no recent threads slagging off particular clubs or fanbases in the top 6, or Leeds, etc. On Saintsweb just stuff about Pompey and on BBS literally dozens of recent threads laughing at BHAFC. Since we got promoted, I think there are a few posters routinely obsessed with other clubs hundreds of miles away, rather than the obvious CP, Pompey of Bmuff.

But we only love it because of the highs and the lows, and the lows of the (many) teams we dislike for whatever irrational reason. It sort of gives us consolation that we aren’t the only ones suffering

At least someone gets where I'm coming from whilst all around us cream themselves over Leeds.

Entitled to what ?

I’d be laughing if we were still in the lower reaches of league 2.

Leeds fans are up there with the fans of massive who believe they have a god given right to be in the Premier League. I’m not laughing because we are above them .... I’m laughing purely because they keep failing to get where they ‘belong’

Not just you because I am quoting you, but why? Just why?

HW said it agin on 5live tonight tonight, stating that PL grounds have become quiet, and “need the edge that comes from both Norwich and Leeds fans”.

Are Norwich away fans that incredible, especially when they’ll be beaten in the vast majority of their away PL matches?

No, they are not. They both play goal music as far as I'm aware and Carrow Road was dead all but a few months ago.

Leeds are decent away.

Not just you because I am quoting you, but why? Just why?

Leeds are a club I just don't really like very much, and never have.

As such, when I'm listening to 5Live whilst walking the dog and I hear they are 2-0 down at Brentford, having also stuffed things up a few days earlier, I had a little snigger and I was happy to share the communal laughing-at-Leeds going on here.

My life is not so full that I can't spare a minute or two for trivialities like this, and it's not detracting my main footballing focus that is the Albion.

Maybe you like every single other football club. Maybe you have never taken a small bit of enjoyment when another club has had a misfortune. If so, you're probably the only football supporter who has ever been like that, but good for you.

I heard that too. Norwich was very much an afterthought to what he was saying having already mentioned both Leeds and Sheffield United. I certainly thought he just added them to be inclusive. Like you say - my visits to Norwich, whilst often enjoyable, have never left me coming away in awe at the Canaries' fans.

I reckon I have something in my grudge bank built up over 50 years of supporting The Albion that I could call upon to dislike and laugh at any other team from the 4 divisions - and a few non-league ones.

No, you totally misunderstand my point. This is some northern club that isn't even on our sphere. Why we have to be small time billy bollocks over Leeds is beyond me. They really couldn't care less about us I'm sure. Palace yes, Portsmouth yes, even Crawley or Southampton or Bournemouth. Leeds? Really?
