Josh King over Jurgen Locadia - definitely. Not sure Dunk over Cook is a given anymore and the same goes for Ryan over Boruc. Actually, I'm not doing any more of these - it's a bit too depressing.

I guess I wouldn't see Locadia as part of my best Albion 11 and therefore wouldn't be a comparison, but I appreciate that Hughton seems to disagree with me.

Very revisionist on Dunk, based on current situation.. He's been superb for a number of seasons now. Come on, let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here. Cook's never even been talked about for the England set up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dunk and Duffy are ****ing knackered right now, having had to play Hughton's backs-to-the-wall last ditch style for 2 seasons. They're very, very good at it, but it would tire out anyone after a certain amount of time.

I'd take a point and bank the 5 point lead now. Especially as Cardiff have Liverpool up next.

Hard to say, as we've been poor since the Everton 1-0, but on "average" performances over the past 2 seasons, I'd take Ryan, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo over their equivalents immediately, then there would be a few that were a toss up. Would take Callum Wilson without a second's thought, probably Fraser as well. Beyond that I don't think they have many clearly better like for likes.

Well, that probably shows they have a far better manager than us!

Please just let us be at least 3 points clear come the Man City game (with a decent GD advantage...).

Reluctantly yes, I think it might just be enough. That said, I can't imagine how we recover for next season

Hughton is a superb manager for certain games, and certain levels of club. I'm not sure he works for a side who want to do more than tread water at the arse end of the Prem.

I think we all knew this day would come at some point, however I thought it would be another 3-4 years beforehand. I really hope the fans don't turn on him too much, and forget all the good he has done for us.

Yes, I'd absolutely take a point now. How many opportunities have we had that we have stuffed up to make our lives much easier. A point would leave Cardiff still 5 points behind and, given that they should 99% of the time lose to Liverpool and Man Utd, they would have to beat both Palace and Fulham away and hope that we take no more points. A win would be nice but can't believe many people are confident enough to risk it taking into account our recent performances.

I guess anything but a loss is a positive so yeah take a point but prefer 3 for extra breathing space.

It'll be the last point we get this season so no I'd rather go for 3!

No, I hope that doesn't happen, but I think he has reached the end with us , regardless of staying up or not.
However, I am not Tony Bloom and if we do stay up, I would be very surprised if he shows Hughton the door.

I have voted yes but not for the reason shown . I think that we will get at least another 2 points somewhere and with Cardiff's run in that will be enough. I think that we will get at least a draw in one of our away games + we still have Newcastle at home which is quite winnable, once we get out of this rut.

Too many times in the last few months has the game started with me full of hope that we can do it and then ended with me wishing we could have had a draw. I'd take a guaranteed draw now over the chance of us wining or losing.

It's a long way from that half time against Palace at home.

We could have put Cardiff out of sight weeks ago but have stuttered and put ourselves under huge pressure tomorrow night. Now is the time to stop pissing about and get the job done so mentality needs to be go for the win.

Would I take a guaranteed point now? Yes, for sure. It removes the risk they close the gap to 2. They then have only 4 games to in effect get 6 points assuming we get none. So yes.

Did you go to the Southampton and Bournemouth games?

No and yes.

I also remember, many years ago, a boast on NSC from a Cardiff fan (Taffy) that he wasn't coming [to Withdean] "for a poxy point". We won, and he went back to Wales having felt the cold hand of disappointment.

My post is a reference to this.

And I want all 3 points on Tuesday, because I'm a selfish only child who doesn't like sharing.
