[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs AFC Bournemouth *** Official Match Thread ***

scooter1

How soon is now?
Not at the game, but watched it on a stream and got to see the goals on repeat after repeat. We were terrible, and what made it worse was the fact that we gave up at 3 nil. We were never going to get anything back at 3 down, but goals 4 and 5 could have been avoided. Bissouma may be a great talent, but he’s also a liability in the middle of the park(gave the ball away too many times). Enough will be written about Knockaert, but something drastic has to change in time for Tuesday. Staying up is still in our hands for now, but another performance like that and we’ll be in real real trouble. Move on after today, but Hughton needs to ring the changes and motivate for Tuesday(can he do it?)

What a thoroughly depressing afternoon.

On a minor note, did anyone see Steve Cook mouthing off at our fans then try to kick the ball at the North Stand after the red card. I can’t think of a more dislikable person to come through the ranks at Brighton.

What did they say to provoke him?.......some fans are immensely 'dislikable' tbf.

Without resorting to name calling, this is a genuine question: What qualities has Hughton displayed this season that makes you want him in charge next season?

Do you not remember the qualities he displayed in the Championship? If that's where we end up next season, I can't think of anybody else I'd rather have in charge.

So thats a yes then.

anyways, hope this loss doesn't grate away too much at your well being.

as long as we stay up, then I'm happy and thats exactly what it looks like we'll achieve. In respect to your albion expectations, you must be going through a tough time. Stay strong.

I've read some idiots on here with some extremely poor wind up attempts. I suggest you just lick Hughton's arse and forget the feeble offers you have on display.

Stadium looked a bit sparse today, 3/4k (maybe more) short of capacity? I wonder why. But you'll be ok because the sun shines out of CH's arse.

Then what? Let’s be honest I worry about his abilities to motivate when we threw away winning the league

WA/JC just called it correctly. 5 to 7 new first teamers required in this summer’s window.

“Resources” have been mentioned repeatedly.

Some players are clearly not good enough for PL football IN THEIR ROLES, unless we aim to be bottom 4 this and next season.

Perhaps Winstanley needs to start looking at players from the English leagues?

No words for that. We might scrape 17th this season but on that evidence we are buggered next season under this management and with this squad. Either or both needs to change

Dire today, we have totally lost the plot at present.

No endeavour, no fight and no-one really interested, just as well we have some space between Cardiff but it all may change by around 21:50 Tuesday night

You are obsessed with both CH and his arse.

I'm sensing bitterness more than disappointment from you.

If it helps, there's plenty of more fish in the sea....

I'm guessing you only started supporting us once the amex was built?

Why don't you try and get on talk sport and be one of those fans who rings up almost in tears at the struggles of his Prem club not winning every week. You should tell them that CH needs sacking, and you should tell them how bad times have become for our club. Make it out as if it's 97 all over again.

Bloody hell, are we going to hark back to '97 for the remainder of our existence? That was 22 years ago now. Of course we all appreciate where we came from. However Bournemouth nearly went out of existence in 2008 ffs. We are football fans and our team has just beem thrashed in a crunch game in a relagation dog fight at home. Weve been generally poor all season. Yes we're in the prem, but if you can't understand why people are sad/angry/disappointed with how our season has turned out, and questioning tactics and the players commitment etc when we've had 3(?) Shots on target in 3 home games, then you are deluded. Fair enough you are still happy clappy about everything, but clearly many arent.

A net loss of £65 million is a fair wedge to spend in one window.

Not sure resources are an issue, more how it was spent.
