Nothing to do with the player, t'is the system.

Murrayoffside's inability to create any space means anyone in the final third has nothing to work with, esp as the next option is at least 30 yards away

Sorry, poor decision making and inability to control a ball as well as being physically inept has nothing to do with the system.

He was involved, linked up well enough with Bernie Inn a game where everybody was pretty poor, esp the front 3 or 5.

All I saw was him holding the ball too long, attempting I’ll-judged flicks, actually hamper Bernardo by blocking his run.

There was a 5 minute spell just before halftime when I thought he turned the corner, but he actually got worse.

Yes, with the exception of Bissouma in the first half and Bernardo everyone was shocking.

Exactly, if anybody thinks Ali J was at fault for today performance, they don't necessarily have the wrong opinion scapegoating him, but what they are is completely wrong about the abilities of everyone else.

(Except Davy who is clearly wasting his talents playing for the Albion)

I wouldn’t scapegoat Jahanbakhsh as such, as pretty much all Albion players including AJ had shockers.

Put it this way, the Stains RB was not troubled by his lack of pace and strength, or his predictable runs with and without the ball.

Name a Southampton player who was troubled by the Albion?

Thank god for Big Jurg or else we wouldn't have had any meaningful shots on goal.

I think we’re in agreement then, as I sad pretty much every Albion player has a stinker.

Where we differ is that I think Jahanbakhsh offered next to nowt, just like the others. His alleged tidy moves etc, were inept, weak, without an end product, not ‘heads up’ football aware of team mates.

But to be clear, his colleagues were in the main just as shite.

If he didn't have such a long name you wouldn't realize he existed

Bernie Inn? :)

That was my other consideration for a User Name when I signed up 20 years or so ago.
Finally somebody noticed.
I've been flogging that comedy gold for months.

He tried 2 backheel flick passes inside that twice went to Southampton players first half.

If anyone could sum up not understanding what a crunch bottom of the table clash means it was Jahanbaksh today. His work rate at times I thought was nothing short of a disgrace.

He’s a half decent player, got potential to get better. But boy yes, we overpaid. Never mind, he’s not to blame for that, can definitely be part of successful Prem future for us

On his thread he can.

Even though he was still more effective today than Murrayoffside and on a par with the Blind Alley Ball Hog.

Here's a little tip for you Anthony.

A bit less preening and posturing to us and a bit more delivering a corner into the box.

If you want support give us something to support.
