It's where Michael Fallon was educated that was the problem. It's people like him - the ones who think it's socially acceptable to wear a harlequin cap and red trousers to Lord's or a wax jacket and welly boots in the West stand at Twickenham - public school, wealthy, Conservative and Unionist, Where did you to school? How much is you family worth? types who lord it over the rest of us, play God with our lives, treat everything as a game - from the lives of disadvantaged kids in the Crown Court system, to working class lads on the field of battle - who use their friends in the press to demonise those they don't like - from The EU because they're foreign, to people on benefits - who think Prince Harry is better because he's a member of The Royal family and went to Eton and the bloke who served in The Falklands sat outside McDonalds in a doorway drinking a can of Kestrel is scum................Their sense of entitlement and arrogance knows no bounds. It corrupts and eats away at them and others.

The last rugby game I went to was in Cardiff in 2013 - Wales 30-3 England - and I actually realised I didn't lose that day. Wales didn't beat me. They thrashed the West Stand at Twickenham and everything it represents. I looked around Cardiff before the game and after the game and the hordes of Welsh - drunk, fat, skinny, short skirts, high heeled, vomiting, the vast majority without tickets - and realised we're on the same side. They don't hate me - they're my brothers and sisters. They didn't beat me 30-3. They beat the likes of Michael Fallon - the entitled arrogant, public school, Conservative and Unionist, entitled, oppressive elite.

We need to wake up and realise the future is northern, well 'ard, single mothers at 16 who can make into Westminster like Angela Rayner, not people like Jacob Rees-Mogg or Michael Fallon or any other rich, entitled, arrogant public school numpties. The days of the corruption and entitlement of having power and wealth need to come to a end.

Here he is, had you down for the first nerdy member to reply, expected a bit more if I am honest.

I’m sure you did expect more...maybe The Clamp can pad it out with some simple but superfluous words so it’s in a “language” you can understand? :lolol:

I'm afraid I do not try to understand them or try to make them understand me. I tried that before and in my opinion it didn't work.

I've been to lots actually. My Dad was a teacher and schools count as clubs so they get tickets allocated from The RFU if they apply - but only a few and not in The West Stand at Twickenham obviously.

Cardiff was through a Welsh family friend who was on holiday at the time. Similar sized stadium, but a tiny population compared to England means there's many more tickets to go around from The WRFU. Even an amateur club will get several hundred for example. Certainly nothing snobbish about rugby in Wales, that's for sure.

I must admit, I don’t quite understand why were deemed nerds. Maybe wrong choice of noun?

Nice timing....deflects away from

“The number of children living in poverty will soar to a record 5.2 million over the next five years as the government’s welfare cuts bite deepest on households with young families, one of Britain’s leading thinktanks has warned.
Research from the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) predicts an increase of more than 1 million in the number of children living below the poverty line – more than reversing all the progress made over the past 20 years.”

Living in poverty? As defined by a left wing pressure group, or by common sense? Not having a 55" 4k TV with the full Sky package is not living in poverty.

You make a fine point, I LOVE going to watch Rugby, love watching England but it's very difficult to get some sort of kinship with your fellow fans. They're not like me.

I'll tell you something else, the constant narrative that homophobic abuse, racist abuse etc wouldn't happen at Rugby either doesn't go very often or has their head in the sand. Sure, there's no chanting, (that would be vulgar) but I've heard some pretty unsavoury discussions about Nigel Owens on a couple of occasions and somehow the singing of Swing Low following Chris Oti's performance in 1988 goes unchallenged to this day.

Maybe, as they're discussing on the radio this morning, this is the end of the old boys club....

As defined by the IFS, a politically independent body which analyses and assesses fiscal impact. They’re an open body so their definition should be easy to find. Read it, then comment.

It's merely a form of anti-intellectualism in the form of a smear, born primarily of fear, at educated people such as yourself who aren't Tories or Brexit supporters.
