Six would be great from those and, this may stir up controversy, I'd rather it was Newcastle that we lost to.

I certainly don't want anyone doing the double over us. Even at this stage of the season, only 2 teams can do that.

If we beat Wednesday and Hudders and get a point against the Toon, for the first time ever I'll start getting confident.

Huddersfield away is nearly always a draw. We've had one win there, in 10 years. Preston is very likely to be a draw too.

No controversy from me..

If we have to lose any of those games, then I would pick Newcastle too.

I think we'll get 5 points.

At some point we are going to lose again. You'd have to say it will probably happen in one of those three fixtures. I'd take 4 points, with the loss ideally coming against Newcastle.

STAT ATTACK.

If we draw all games against the current top 13 and win the remaining ones, we are up on 93 points (11 draws 11 wins). It's in our hands now. We have 6 away fixtures against the current top 13, as long as we keep our Amex form, us drawing those 6 games are good results.

History does suggest that. But history also suggested we would not win at the massive. If any BHA team is to defy te odds it's this one

3 draws would be fab, no defeats would be superb

I think you are right, winning these games would be fantastic, but at least in avoiding defeat it maintains the status quo. After Huddersfield in early Feb, it won't be too long before the games start to run out.

I WANT to smash Wednesday to finally prove to them we're the better team, I'd love to DESTROY Newcastle to show MIGUEL what pressure really is and I'd be content with a draw v Huddersfield.

I'm guessing we'll draw two and win one which will see us fine.

On the face of it, you are right. However, that will probably mean Newcastle back ahead of us (no big deal) and the chasing pack making up around 2 or 3 points on us, assuming Reading or Leeds can win 2 out of 3 of their games in that time.

That's fine, as long as you accept our current position is possibly a slightly false one.

I love all this fantasizing along the lines of "What if ...?"

At least we can hope for a better record than Chelsea have achieved. They've lost every match they've played this year and still imagine that they might win the Premier League title.

7 points done.

3/4 weeks ago I was in the 3 draws is good enough camp, but right now I'm thinking 7 is a better target. We really should be beating Wendy and Newcastle have demonstrated enough inconsistency to give us confidence. I'll concede a draw at Hudders :)

Hove (actually)
9 points gives us 63. 29 left to get in order to hit 92, and from 19 remaining games that's only just over 1.5 per game (win one, lose one) - almost a done deal.....Attack, attack, attack.......!!! :)

Would take 5, hope for 7, 9 is dreamland.

I want to smash Newcastle to repay some of the arrogance their fans exhibited before they'd even kicked a ball. It'd be lovely to go up ahead of them with our modestly assembled squad.

The great thing is, if we beat Preston (I know, draw is probable) and were then to lose all those 3 games, we'd only be a maximum of 4 point off the top and highly likely still in 2nd place. You'd then have to think that with the remaining fixtures, we'd still be looking good for an auto spot.

Preston first. The advantage we have is that we will rest our first XI this Saturday but they have their cup final against Arsenal. Should they nick a draw then our game would be 3 days before a replay.
