Crazy isn't it.

Every single map on Google images from 1679 through to the present day has Angmering to the north of East Preston and with no coastline.
Angmering being so far removed, about 3 miles, from the beach it doesn't even feature on the edge of any detailed map.

Yet even with all that instead of saying 'sorry, from here in Haywards Heath, I got that wrong' we have to put up with such bollox as:-

I am not disputing that may be the boundary now but it either wasnt or was not accepted as such pre 1960

If it wasn't so believable it would be un-f******-believable.

Frank Lampard bought a house there recently that his dad lives in, not sure if Jnr or Senior actually owns it due to tax etc.

One of my best friends is a taxi driver and he has picked Frank up from the Tudor in EP on more than one occasion.
He was looking for a property down a good couple of years back but as far as I know he has yet to purchase one.

On google maps Follow Coastal Rd west towards South Strands and you will see and pass Angmering on Sea house at the sea end of The Drive. Why would it be called Angmering on Sea if not by the sea. Like EP the village of Angmering is a couple of miles north of that.

I was told he bought it last summer just before joining New York.

He's doing this on purpose.

THAT'S THE NAME OF A FREAKIN HOUSE YOU MUG.

Keep looking down South Strand and you'll find:-

'Dolphins West' that's not a real dolphin, it's the name of a house.
Further down is 'Avalon' that isn't a legendary island featured in the Arthurian legend, it's the name of a house.
Opposite is 'Anchorage', that's also in East Preston not Alaska, it's the name of a house.

I accept that but why is the area called Angmering on Sea? As shown on google maps. Irrespective of you considering EP your specialist subject as long as I can remember there has been Angmering where the station etc is and Angmering on Sea west of South Strands and south of the Willowhayne Estate. As I say new boundaries as per your 2014 plan may have changed the area since wife and I lived there, some 50 + years ago. I fully accept that.

Used to know the owner of the house named Avalon.

Because that's what the people who bought it, renovated it and sold it wanted to call it.
They felt Tsunami, the properties name after Finisterre and before Angmering Beach House, was a little tasteless after one had just killed thousands of people.

Does anything that's being written here make you think for one moment there's a teeny weeny chance you might be wrong?
