[Albion] Cheer for Greer

Brighton Mod

Its All Too Beautiful
Four and a half managers, one captain. Captains out injured and we dip in form, he comes back and we start to win, there is something in that.

he's
never intimidated
protects Dunk
feels every goal that is conceded
can be physical when needed
is a constant fixture in defence
knows his players and clearly leads on and off the field

Whats not to like

Totally agree. Dunk was all over the place today.

Greer gave away the ball that led to their penalty, and then gave away the penalty with a rash challenge (no complaints from me having seen the highlights). Dunk put in a stunning challenge after Ince's brain was removed. Still not sure I'd drop Greer though, he's much more to the team than his own defending.

I notice that our defenders don't play so well and seem to make more mistakes against the top teams. Do you think there may be something in this

It's maybe our defence that is stopping us being further clear at the top. We've conceded 30% more than the 3 teams below us (approx), but scored as many.

Both Greer and Dunk seem to have one or two major ****ups per game. Now I don't expect them to be perfect as if they never made mistakes they would be playing in the Premiership for a top team but they do drop some serious bollocks for championship defenders

I agree with all of that.

Although I would say that the spirit and form of the team right now means that they will try to go for everything, 100% determination to stop that cross or make that block. The same thing which made GG go for that challenge is what made Dunk go for his and it is that attitude throughout the team which is putting us at the top right now. I don't mind conceeding the odd penalty if it's because we are so intensely committed, it has made us unbeatable so far this season.

And Dunk lunging on ground with his head shows the determination. Of course they will make mistakes but considering we're unbeaten but not won by more than one clear goal again shows the utter guts they are all playing with.
