Clegg is predicted to get around 38% , with the Tories and LAbour on about 19% each. He will hold his seat.

???
The Ashcroft poll on 29th April had LAB on 37% , LD on 36% CON on 15% UKIP on 7% GREEN on 4%. If the poll on tactical voting is correct and Tory voters switch en masse to the LibDems how can their share of the vote increase too ?

The interesting thing this time, is the exit polls at 10 PM won't tell the whole story, as the election will be decided in 100 odd seats in England where the UKIP factor is unknown, and by how much labour is wiped out in Scotland.

The spectre of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership is slowly hovering above the NHS waiting for Dodgy Dave to take power.

Always interesting seeing which MP's get kicked out ? Hopefully McVey and Maria Miller for the Portillo moment this time

Danny Alexander might be looking to see if he can re-kindle his MASSIVE career selling novelty pencils in the Cairngorms National Park gift shop.

Quite.
Read a report about Labour voters being intimidated by aggressive and intimidatory letters from suspected Tories in Plymouth. Although, there are people on this thread who will lie, and tell you that Tories dont resort to that sort of thing. Its just a 'leftie' thing apparently.
Yeah, just watched the news where a Labour politician was intimidated by aggressive behaviour.....by the SNP

"spectre" is very appropriate, feared but really just an illusion of something.

Yes, I normally stay up until
a) It's obvious what's going on
and
b) My local seat gets declared

Believe the MK declarations are due at 7AM. Guessing it'll be obvious that there is no overall control by then

By 2am you can normally have a very good idea how it's going to unravel

Can we keep this thread free of partisan propaganda, please?

Discuss what you're eating, drinking, how crazy Peter Snow is getting and the results as they come in and what it might mean for the overall result, but can we please keep this thread clear of the bollocks that has clogged up every other election-related thread over the past few months.

I'm going to go to bed early and hope that the country hasn't proved to be as full of idiots as I fear when I wake up.

I'm a big Jeremy Vine fan on election night, and his CGI UK political map and House of Commons "let's see what it might look like" chamber. Also love Andrew Neil's interviews with the studio guests as the results unfold - especially as the key marginals are declared - and the live links to the counts up and down the country. Pure, electric theatre.

Just watching the BBC ten o'clock news. Who advised Ed Balls to be photographed with Delia Smith doing some baking days before polling day?

Cue headlines of Cooking the Books / Half Baked / Too many Cooks etc etc.

Its like shooting fish in a barrel.
