Wigan can't catch us, and Millwall have got to win all three of their remaining matches to overtake us if we get no more points.

I would rather be mathematically safe, but the odds must be on our side.

The posh bit
I can't believe Hughton didn't clap the fans, they had to come all the way up to Wigan to watch that shit and get no thanks.
Probably because there was so many finger salutes and eff off you useless nuts, do not come here you winkers etc
Quite hostile fans to team afterward. But to be fair they deserved it.
Totally inept performance.

Win two and draw one would do it for Millwall. Still unlikely - but I wish we could have just taken that option away from them in the last two matches!

Not one of the fans being interviewed on the radio have a good word for any of the players, they are being very scaything.

Who cares if the team claps the fans at the end ? I'd rather they gave 100% and won and gave me a V sign than lose and kiss the shirt

Without the fans there would be no club you know that...but I do see your point

What a ****ing farce this club is, premier league ready my arse, one club, one ambition :lolol:, sucking FFPs dick, director of football bringing in bargain bin players and selling all the good ones, sacking one of the best managers we've had for reasons that haven't been revealed (for having ambition most likely), letting another great manager leave, hiring defensive managers playing one up front that are clueless (you could argue that Hughton did well with Newcastle, but I could've done well with them, and what happened when they got to the premier league? he got sacked, he did okay with Birmingham, but once again, they had a decent championship level squad (albeit not as good as Newcastle's but still), then he went to Norwich where he got sacked for playing shit football and bringing in shit strikers (sounds familiar???), and Hyypiä got sacked from Bayer Leverkusen for not being able to get them to win, which also sounds familiar), getting in a CEO that has turned us from a nice club with a community feel to it into a corporate beast with no soul, that pretends to be one of the Premier League big boys, when in reality it could be one of the 48 lower league minnows in August.

 :censored:

Rant over.

Interesting points made.

Seeing as Gus could not have been sacked for anything to do with 'poogate', was his dismissal really an admission of lack of ambition?

Hughton should be different, he should always acknowledge the fans when away.

good thing Bloom and Barber were there to watch ..............................hope they enjoyed it
top six squad
premiership ready
you two do not deserve the loyal fans you have
MUPPETS
So Tony Bloom, fan of the albion, who went to see them today, unlike most of us, does not deserve the fans we have, despite the fact that he's kept us alive and spent £200m on us. You're right, he deserves better.

I think you may be on to something there !

Sometimes I actually wonder if there was some complicit decision that we wouldn't go for it in 2011 ( for whatever reason )

Well, whatever the apologists say, that was an appalling result and sums up our season.

I had hopes when hughton joined after the Sami dissapointments, but he has had a long time now and he doesn't know his best side, he chops and changes and nothing helps. He has a decent squad that should be at least a mid table team, but instead, we have players playing so badly that no one can see where the next point is coming from. That is the job of the manager and his team....

We sold the heart of the team and have not replaced...

Whatever people say about Barnes, he was pivotal to our side and he was offloaded by a shit decision and not replaced.

We deserve nothing from this season and as soon as it's over the better, relegation or not.

If hughton walks, then so be it, but he needs some improvement quickly next season or the crowd will hammer him.

maybe he at last could see the team that he has poured money into after selling the crown jewels.
maybe if we had kept the good players and not sold them and replaced them with a cheaper version we might just be in a better place
I thought the man was a gambler
and as for the other guy .........................600k for making decisions that have got us where we are now he want to sell more players, how the hell do you square that one.

Just spoken to brother on his way home his view is that we were poor but perhaps not as bad as against Huddersfield. He thought Lua Lua had the chances to have scored a hat trick and we were better when COG came on but why not play him with CMS and not instead of.

COG was taken off at half time the last time he played because we were ineffective with him.

I fear we are getting into that sequence we had several years back where we'd start Kishishev and he would be deemed ineffective, Bridcutt would replace him and changed the game, so Bridcutt would start the next and be ineffective, so Kishshev would replace him and change the game, so Kishishev would start the next...
