Predictably massively noisy anti-UKIP audience, but a sizeable minority of the populace support their views. They either not in the audience or too embarrassed to say there.

Assuming that those that supported UKIP were mobilised to vote far more than supporters of the main parties, that would still make that minority only 10% of the electorate!

You obviously know very lite about Joey Barton. Despite all the stupid things he's done he's actually a very articulate chap.

Get real.

Just because someone is articulate doesn't mean they're not a w.anker.

I'm now getting offended on behalf of those that haven't seen it but will.

I hope you don't find that offensive.

Piers Morgan is absolutely spot-on with his condemnation of the government papers not being published. Out of the five, he's the one most worth listening to tonight.

Where did I say he wasn't a wanker? I was just pointing out he's not a stereotypically thick footballer using cliches which someone suggested he would be? And I think I've been proved correct hearing him speak here...

Not a UKIP supporter myself, but your "Assuming ... " deals a fatal blow to the rest of your statement.

I like Joey Barton, sorry.

Anyone who attempts to educate themselves (irrespective of the results) is fine by me.

I thought his sexist exchange with UKIP was brilliant. That's exactly the base man on the street attitude they try to attack and he has accidently just thrown it back it them.

UKIP accuse Joey Barton of being sexist. Ha ha ha.

Joey is inarticulate, which is why he stumbled into the 'sexist' remark row. He didn't mean it, and I sort of see where he was going. Boris Johnson or Allan Clarke - on the other hand - could have carried that one off.

I know what you mean Sheebo, plenty on Twitter saying the same, some on here will argue with you for the sake of arguing.
I like the bloke .

The audience never applaud Barton or the UKIP lady, even if they argue a popular point of view - no one wants to be the first to clap them in case it's a tumbleweed moment.

Think Barton has probably fallen down on the Heathrow runway question.

To say he's against it because he lives near Heathrow and it'll create more noise and pollution...and then to suggest that he's heard that people living near Gatwick are in favour of a second runway there, seems naive & lacking in factual basis.

Joey does seem to try to cover himself by starting every response with 'what little I know about it'. If you admit to knowing little about almost everything, what makes you think that you should be on Question Time"

Piers Morgan [On Heathrow expansion] "We want to encourage the people to come in from China"

I wish they'd had the camera on the UKIP woman when he said that.

It's like Ashley Cole. People v quick to point out the handful of things he's done wrong that are glorified by the tabloids no doubt & choose to ignore some of the good stories and charity work he's done. I'm not saying Joey & Ashley are cracking blokes, as I don't know them personally, but sometimes it seems fashionable to just go with the 'he's a wanker' image the press build up..

And for what it's worth I'm not condoning anything illegal or nasty that either of these 2 may have done - just pointing out we all make mistakes & the press jump on certain people...
