Instead of wasting a plastic bag, they should have bought them when they went shopping last time, hence giving them a week to ripen naturally whilst reducing their plastic bag usership by one.

You really are one sad F**kwit.

But what happens to that unnecessary plastic bag? Will it choke a dolphin/fish/seabird or will it just amount to the ever growing plastic resource in our fine land?

Who knows..? Could be like my wifes grandmother who used to put three slices of her bread into each bag and put them in the freezer. They could be re-used to pick up their animals crap and disposed of properly in the appropriate bins at parks. As Mr. Straw seems to be directing this at "old buggers" I don't forsee them going sailing for thousands of miles into warmer climates so they can chuck the bag in the ocean to choke a dolphin.

No...on reflection, Mr Straw is a very good photographer.....as a human being with any sort of understanding......a complete f**kwit.

Once you've weighed the bananas and printed out the sticky label,
you stick it on the plastic bag. Simples.
Even old buggers can work this out!

I put half of my fresh baked loaf of bread in it and put it in my freezer. Not many Dolphins in there, some Bass but no Seagulls .

Right here, right now
My wife picks single bananas off various bunches and puts them in a bag rather than grabbing a single bunch.

Anyway, why should you not use a bag provided for the purpose especially when a newly opened crate of bananas is invariably covered in moisture and smells like a pile of sweaty socks. Don't want that in my shopping bag!

Have you seen how dirty shopping trolleys are? No way would I put fruit in one of those without a plastic bag!

Good point, too many people use a shopping trolley as a portable play pen for their brats theses days. Everyone knows that you shouldn't but retailers are so scared of bad publicity they let them get away with it. Can you imagine the response if a Ukrainian couple put little Nikita in one at a Russian supermarket in Crimea ?

On a related subject I had a banana the other day that was completely straight, no bend whatsoever. It freaked me out. I like a proper bendy one.
