3......in the last 10 minutes when he brings on 2 attacking wingers and takes 3 players off so we have 10 men.

I have a dream ... that OG will start with an attacking line-up, we'll have at least half a dozen shots on target, and we'll win 3-1.

On the other hand it's much more likely that we'll continue with the lack of attacking football which has become par for the course this season.

You keep banging on about this attacking line up. I assume you mean basically mean two up front? The formation that the top sides stopped using in the 70's because it's too easy to play against?

Let's see your attacking line up, Goldstone. What is it?

I'll have a bet with you that within 5 years the top teams will be playing 4-4-2.

Why do I say that? Because most academies are now teaching their kids to play that way because it's now been easy to counter a 4-3-3 with a diamond in midfield and 2 strikers.

Lumme, the doom merchants, moaners and depressives are out in the force aren't they?

Chin up, it'll turn around soon. Anyone would think we're fighting a relegation battle

Forget the score PREDICTOR that is too PREDICTABLE now. 2 shots on TARGET against Millwall including a PENALTY, 1 on target against READING will OCSAR get his DREAM tomorrow and have ATTACKING football without a SHOT on target ?

Predict how many shots on TARGET tomorrow we will HAVE against 'Arrys boys.

Come on ERNEST & PLAY with us:smile:
Still time to get your first score right.
Who knows you could go on some amazing run like the Albion & SCORE, SCORE, SCORE!

Does hitting the cross bar 18 times count as on target?

PIG
Bruno, Calde, Dunk, Upson, Ward
Ince, March
Kaz, Leo, Buckley

With Ward and Bruno out and out wing backs. Effectively this is a 3-5-2 formation in practice - as long as they attack attack attack. In fact, if they really attack it's more like a 3-2-5.

What the hell. Let's throw them all forward. PIG as well! :)

Thats right, teams like LIverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea stopped using it back in the 70s, but now they are and they are scoring goals. The Germans found out the Spanish way of playing last year and now its old thinking, first POyet and to a limited degree Oscar are just using a form of plageurism and it isn't working, its not original thinking and teams can defend against it. Liverpool are quick to move, look for the ball through the chanels and they are scoring goals and winning games. Oh and theres that unfashionable team in ur division, Burnley who play two up front, Vokes and INgs, doesn't appear to stop them scoring and winning either.

I think we could be onto something here. An Ernest poll with a "STUPID" option - well it had to be done. I think this could be the turning point, an ARS inspired goalfest for tonight. Poor old Bare Bones Harry !

And how many of these teams are actually winning trophies? How are these English teams doing in Europe? How can you say our way isn't working, we finished 4th last year and have every chance of making the play-offs this year, having spent a hell of a lot less money that a lot of other clubs in the division? And apart from anything else, who on earth should we be playing up front with Ulloa? Obika?

What's does a shot on target mean? It's been a while. I think I was having a wee the last time we had one. :fishing:
