Congratulations, wonderful news. We had identical twins 7 years ago. One of them has decided to have a screaming fit this morning. The other died when she was 7 months old (they were born early after having twin to twin transfusion). Tips: help your wife take it easy when they get big, and don't buy a twin buggy until they're both home from hospital.

Congratulations!!!
I am expecting our first in August. We've just had the 12 week scan and all is looking ok.
I'm taking it very well, I thought I would have flipped out by now but I'm surprisingly calm about it all, but there is plenty of time for that to change!

Had my first son in November, now 3 months old he has just about outgrown all 3-6 month clothing 
Best advice: Dont spend too much money on clothing. We got given most as hand downs/presents. Generally they wear it once; are sick/poo on it, then its too small for them to wear.

My advice, prepare for an early birth – too many babies and not enough space = only one outcome. I haven’t got twins but our first son was premature and its not as bad as it sounds. Before kids, I expected that a premature baby unit would be my idea of hell, in fact it’s the opposite – really peaceful. There were basically 6 babies, who slept constantly waking up for milk before going to sleep again. Also, in a ‘normal’ birth you are at home within 24 hrs where everything is new and scary. In this environment you effectively get training which really helps when you get back to HQ.
Secondly, Breast feeding. Every nurse / doctor / poster on wall will be pushing you to go down that road. Its like 1984 and you are made to feel like the worst parent in the world if you don’t go down that road . The reality is that it works like a treat for some and for others it just doesn’t work and causes more stress / effort etc than is healthy. Plenty of babies prosper on SMA Gold – Don’t be afraid to tell the doctors to do one. Also, your missus will not be with it so you may have to be the voice of reason on things like this.
Advice - Everyone will have advice, work out what works for you – All babies are different. The future Grand Parents are the worst. As an example, one of them sweared by ‘Gripe Water’ I researched this and realised that it used to contain Gin. No wonder baby went to sleep in the 70’s.
Lastly, childbirth. As Robbie Williams once said ‘It was like watching my favourite pub burn down’

Congratulations! I am a twin and I have a bit of advice that may come into play as they get a little older. It's very easy to treat them as a unit but try and treat them as individuals in their own right. While it may look cute to dress them identically or to assume they both enjoy the same activities it can be quite annoying for the kids and being constantly referred to as "The Twins" can get very annoying. My parents did just this and the result was that as we got older we went to great pains to be apart from each other and establish our own identity, which happens to all siblings but this got a bit ridiculous.

Congratulations! We had identical twins boys, but they were born early and we lost one three months later. All I can say is that the missus was on blood pressure pills and the doctors completely bungled her dosage, which led to the complications. Hopefully, you won't have these issues, but they may come a few weeks earlier than expected, so be ready from week 32 on!

Found out it's identical twin boys this morning! All looks good; fluid levels seem ok and both seem to be growing fine. Obviously over the moon.

They got a joint Xmas present of 20 quid while our son got 20 of his own. People will treat them as a single entity so get your head around that."

How's everyone getting on? We've had a bit of a whirlwind the past few months or so.
At just over 20wks in February, a scan showed that we were suffering with twin to twin transfusion syndrome where one baby was getting too much fluid and the other not enough. Six hours later we were in St George's in London and the following day we had laser treatment where they lasered the blood vessels on my wife's placenta to minimise the fluid intake. They also drained the fluid out from the baby who was taking in too much. Whilst completely terrifying, it really was fascinating stuff as you saw the babies on the screen as they moved the camera around in my wife's stomach. However, I wouldn't wish going through that to my worst enemy.
Oh, and then on April 13th at just 27 weeks, we had our baby boys weighing just 2lbs 2oz - this would soon go down to 1lbs 8oz as they swallowed a lot of blood as part of the placenta had broken away and they were tangled amongst their cords. They were due in mid-June. It just all happened so quickly via category 1 emergency C-section. They spent two weeks in Queens Alexandra Hospital in the specialist neo-natal ward; almost four weeks in St Richard's in Chichester; and they have spent the past ten days or so in Worthing Hospital. They were last weighed on Sunday and both boys are 3lbs 9oz now - it feels a long long time ago since they were 1lbs 8oz. It has been a life changer and a real leaning curve, that's for sure. Just can't wait to get them home.
Here's the most recent photo of the lads. I also have many photos of them when they were little under 2lbs. I did manage to get a little bit about these new Young Seagulls in the Yeovil matchday programme. One the left is Quinn and on the right is Jude. They were born in the same minute as they had to get them out pronto.
