I've gone for Ted but I love both.

Sorry but what's funny about that woman in Father Ted? She is straight from the Miranda/Mrs Brown's Boys school of broad "comedy".

You are joking right?! You know that Father Ted pre-dates Mrs Brown's Boys by at least 15 years, so which show defines the category? If you think that Father Ted is somehow broad or base then you've probably missed about 80% of the best jokes. I may be biased with a Catholic up-bringing but it cracks me up again and again.

I really like both shows and whilst Peep Show is intelligent and amusing, it has never made me burst out laughing in the way that Father Ted does.

Ted is the hands down winner for me (surprised the scores in the poll are closer).

That's a toughie. I adore both of them.

I think Ted wins, but only because i struggled to get into s1 of Peep Show - 2-6 were comedy genius though (thought 7 & 8 lacked something).

I've tried to get into Father Ted a couple of times and might give it a go again but it hasn't grabbed me yet. That said, I know a lot of people who love it.

Peep Show comes very close to Alan Partridge as being my favourite ever TV show. It's brilliant.

I've just bought the box set of Father Ted which I'm working through one a night. I used to look forward to its re-runs on a Sunday evening because it brought brief relief to the miserable thought of going back to work.

It's stupidly silly, yes, but FECK ! ARSE ! I love it.

Although Peep Show is fantastic. Wish it had been FT v Miranda and PS v mrs browns boys though. I would rather stick hot salted pins into my eyes than watch Miranda or Mrs browns boys.
