I think I'm going to try and adopt your attitude, we will be losing Poyet players, let's be having the Oscar ones !!!

Good. Good vibes about the club are not only probably true (bearing in mind how difficult it is to make predictions about the future), but a positive disposition will also help you negotiate life with all its problems.

So...

Barker - gone
Bridcutt - nearly gone
Barnes - to be replaced by Mason of Cardiff if he goes.

Buckley - Sunderland still interested but won't increase offer due to current injury ( ie he signs for them on deadline day ).

Ulloa to Hull - seems to have little or no truth to it.

Let's hear soon about new contracts for Ince, Ulloa, Kuszczak and Orlandi.

Fair point but are Forest, Leicester, Leeds, Reading QPR etc having the same problems? I have no idea, as I don't follow them closely but most teams aiming for promotion tend to hang on to their best players at this stage of the season. I just worry that we still seem to be seen as a feeder club to just about everyone above us in the league.

Forest signing Vaugham and Wickham for 5m from Sunderland apparently. Both decent buys. But FFP? No chance.

I now agree, this has been a depressing window so far.

1 fringe player gone, Bridcutt seemingly nearly gone as well.

Gus interest in Buckley, Barnes the subject of bids.

I fear there will also be a lot of interest in Ulloa ( including from Gus if we seem to be pushovers in the Bridcutt, and Buckley negotiations ).

All in all, it seems a very negative window this time.

I'm still positive for several reasons:

1) Barker doesn't even quality as a fringe player - We got some money for a youth player GOOD THING
2) Bridcutt went the moment Gus left in my opinion and if the rumours are true then a fee of £2.5m rising to £5m is a great deal. Besides, we got to 7th more-or-less without him so far GOOD THING
3) Buckley is injured (and injury prone). If we get more than we paid for him by £1m and get Conway in, we're better off GOOD THING
4) Barnes will not go anywhere unless we have a comparable replacement already lined up GOOD THING
5) I honestly believe that Ulloa will not be sold GOOD THING

None of the players in the quote I've taken is leaving.

Chin up.

They're not GOOD THINGs at all. They are PAR.

A good thing would be for us to, say, announce some top notch European U21 centre back from Barcelona or another quality Ulloa-esque striker - previously being tracked by six Premiership clubs - with the money we received from Sunderland for Bridcutt.

Imagine if tomorrow we hear news that Birghton agree a three year contract extension with PIG, Barnes and Ince.

That'd be bloody amazing.

No doubt swiftly followed by the news Bridcutt and Ulloa have been sold to Palace for £2m.

Please..that's cheap. Traded for Muzza?

As I said though, I'm staying positive. Therefore, in a positive view I feel they are good things.

4 isn't looking so good now.

1 player gone, 2 on the brink. Just a short term loanee in.

Surely we arn't having a Fire Sale ???

Or is it just unfortunate that Barnes won't sign a new deal at the same time as Poacher Poyet is sniffing around Bridcutt and Buckley.

I always like to keep in the back of my head, short term pain, long term gain when it comes to the Albion.

Hopefull in the next few years we''ll see other clubs start to suffer due to the restirctions of the FFP system and that's when we start to stand out as one of the better ran clubs in football.
