People think that they can hook up to the internet from the comfort of their own home with total anonymity but that is misguided.
To connect to the internet you must do so through an internet service provider, they chaps can, and have in cases of pedophilia, provided address of internet users.

So what I am saying is you "can" be found rather than "will".

I don't know where your animosity is coming from. First time I particularly noticed your posts on NSC you were getting on like a house on fire with Lady Gull. And yet now you seem to have a bee in your bonnet because I post on Seagulls Chat as well as NSC. I don't really know what's caused the breakdown between you and the admins of Seagulls Chat, not that it's any of my business, but by the same token, I don't think it's justified that you use it as a bone of contention with me.

By the way, 'atypical' is a real word!

All we want is people to enjoy NSC, as long as new members are aware that we will deal with spoof accounts, that's fine.

We have had more than our fair share of idiot accounts, all new registrations are closely scrutinised, clearly I had (maybe still have?) my suspicions about this one, but as long as he treats the board with respect and enjoys NSC for what it is that's fine.

In all fairness, you regulars are reporting so much more these days, which makes our jobs that much easier, keep it up and thanks to all that do go out of their way to let us know about a few wronguns!!!

FWIW, I never use the email addresses my service provider gives me as it kind of ties you down to them and stops you shopping around for the best deal when youer contract is up

I'm the opposite I have never used a free email service, I view these for those that want to hide.

Not at all, we know of many people who have double accounts, all for varying reasons, in the main we ignore them, unless they become a problem, as in a banned person tries re-joining with a spoof account etc.

I personally try and cut off spoof accounts at source, but as I have admitted above on the odd occasion I may get it wrong, what non of you see is the amount of times I get it right and the time and effort I spend looking in to some of the accounts to verify if they are genuine or not, don't get me wrong most applications are just straight forward and cause no issues.

Also, when a thread like this one is started in the way it did, in most cases we get many reported posts saying things like......."dual account this guy is posting just like ..........." in this case, and I had literally just got in from work and saw it, I felt it was probably a spoof account, maybe an existing banned Palace fan or the like, so with hindsight I was probably wrong to do so, but as can be seen I openly researched this one, as like many others on here I felt it was "Dodgy" as I say maybe I was wrong, time will tell.

I tend to agree, I have no real problems with accounts that are clearly the users real name i.e. fredbloggs@whoever.co.uk but pretty much all spoof accounts are mickymouse@whoever.com as you rightly say, people who want to hide for whatever reason.

Yes, "we know" did mean us Mods.

Did I use the word "caring reasons" for more than one account? I don't think so, and I see no need to be patronising! but I will answer the question, many people join and forget their log in details so join again, some re-join as they see it as an easy way to change their name, some just want to lose their old identity and start a new one, in the main ALL genuine people only ever use the one account even though their old one might still be active, we are not talking about hundreds and thousands here....."Some"
