If this was from the press conference, Gus just agreed with the CP fans choice of him as player of the year, as he thinks he is their best player.

I've also heard this. I rate Jedi, he's a good player and would love to see him at the Amex. Gus is very good at getting people to play a passing game. I bet no-one though El Abd could develop into a ball playing centre back, and although not the best at the club, he's a lot better on the ball than most other centre backs in the league.
I hope not. I mean 'Mile'? That' just gonna result in so many people on here calling him 'Miles' and then countless pedants posting "who?" every time.

He is our best player. A beast in the midfield, battles for everything and usually wins it whether he should or not. Just won player of the year. Should have been in the champ team of the year with our other 3

The only problem with Battenburg watching is that he will see our defenders' dodgy holding tactics and be on the lookout. Penalties we can do without.
