great idea, ground open at 11.00am for a mid-day presentation, then presumably a three o'clock KO ? Bournemouth hardly get 8,000 at home, how many will go to Scouseland for that unearthly hour ? More importantly it pisses on the Howe/Tindall love-in, which is even better!

What are you talking about?

It doesn't even make sense! If they win the title, they'll invade the pitch whether there's a presentation following or not! The actual presentation almost always happens when the pitch is cleared so safety is a nonsensical reasoning.

Mind you, remember how enraged people were when Southampton didn't give us a guard of honour?

What with our two championships plus Swanseas win there Withdean must have the highest percentage of Championship successes of all grounds considering it only had 12 seasons ! I wonder who has the lowest?

We won 3 titles in the Withdean era.

If we had collapsed in the promotion race not sure I'd want another side lording it at the amex.

Have a parade Bournemouth , dont worry about it

agree, that sort of thing should be done on home territory

By fun coincidence, Nigel Adkins played for Tranmere, I do believe.

maybe tranmere fans will get nosebleeds and faint at the sight of a trophy so its done on safety grounds.

Not worth worrying about anyway. It's a certainty Tranmere will backtrack at some point, isn't it? Bournemouth will moan, their fans will ring the phone ins to weep about it, and some office jockey at Prenton Park will realise it makes them look a little bit mean, and change their mind.

I heard about this on TalkSport and I believe the decision was made by Merseyside Police on safety grounds. Also, the winners of the trophy could be Doncaster if they beat Brentford and Bournemouth draw or lose.

So it's understandable on that basis that there is no presentation.

That's absolutely ridiculous on two counts.
Firstly, the trophy should be presented ON THE DAY at Tranmere.

Secondly, as there is a major case of sour grapes, the trophy should be presented on Sunday IN BOURNEMOUTH. Why still Tranmere? All of the Bournemouth fans would be able to attend rather than getting up at 3 in the morning to travel to Merseyside.

I didn't even notice that, for some reason I assumed it was bournemouths ground even though I know that's Dean Court, pathetic

If Bournemouth do win the trophy it will be presented in Bournemouth as the Goldsands Stadium is the new name for Dean Court

Ah okay, poor form from me! :punish:

That also shows that I didn't know the name of Tranmere's stadium. :nono:

Very poor from Tranmere, but dont see too much to worry about, as soon as the whistle goes they will run to the fans and celebrate if they have won, Bournemouth bring out a cardboard/tin foil replica and they have some fun.
Much better to have a day of celebrations with all their fans back home.
Well done Bournemouth they will make a good championship club.

I saw us get promoted at Tranmere a few years ago. OK, we weren't actually playing, but Reading had to win to stop us (well delay it) and they drew 2-2. The Reading fans weren't happy with me waving my "We are going up" flag for some reason. The Tranmere fans were just confused.
