Love how this season there is 4 that we are considering where as last season it was really only between 2. Shows progress surely?

Bridcutt is great, and so is Kuszczak, but for me the one who has been the absolute definition of class and consistency is Bridge. Best LB in the league, and I don't think too many will argue with that.

Please say you are :fishing:

Nope, hardly fishing by observing that when teams stop us playing through Bridcutt (which we do), we struggle, and when teams let him play everyone raves about him and our results are better.

I'm a cynical old sod and when we signed Bridge on loan I expected him to be a bit of a money grabbing sick note. I was so wrong. He has been a total pro, pure quality all season and a joy to watch. The "pocketing" of Zaha was just the icing on the cake. I truly hope he is around next season whichever league we're in.

Surely the fact that teams try and take Bridcutt out the game proves how key he is. You can't say he, as an individual, is bad when we don't win. You also have to think about what he does defensively too.

Wayne "he's only here for the money" Bridge. Amazing. I love watching this guy play, when he gets some cocky winger trying to give him the run around and he just steps in and takes the ball or calmly shepherds them off the pitch

Yes, he's key because our entire play goes through him.

He's bad a lot more often then people will care to admit - a bit like Dean Cox a few years ago,a good 'default' choice for man of the match when nobody stands out.

He's good, but we've got better.

Bridge for me. He is Mr Consistent. I'm struggling to recall him having a bad game.
Bridcutt a close 2nd
Kuz 3rd

Bridcutt for his consistency. He's improving all the time and his through ball to Spanish for our 2nd vs Boro hints at more to come.

So who would you give it to?

Surely the player of the season is still up for grabs.

If Leo scores a hatrick at wembley to get us promoted how could he not be our player of the season.

I already said, Bridge.

Absolute class act, defensively and going forward.

Oh, and he doesn't pick up a needless booking in every other game either.

And I bet you thought Kompany's booking yesterday was needless too. Breaking up play is a key job for a defensive midfielder, most of his bookings are for a reason.
