Quick question and apologies if this has been dealt with elsewhere. Couldn't find it.

I've just enrolled for the cup scheme as an STH, literally 5 mins ago. Will it include the 4th round game against arsenal or swansea or do I need to get that one separately? Reason I ask is that when processing it online, it confirmed it was successful but said if I wanted a ticket for the Newcastle game I'd have to do that separately. So clearly the automatic message is somewhat out of date given that was on Saturday.

I'd ask the club but my experience so far (which may be unusual) is that getting the correct answer off them is like trying to get a wank off the pope.

Sorry, not answering your Q ... but got another. What's the point of this auto enrol thing? I can't really see any, so assume I'm missing something

Saves you having to go online and book tickets when they go on sale

And to answer OP, yes it includes 4th round if you do it at the moment

The club is currently encouraging people on the website to sign if for the auto scheme, in order to get Arsenal/Swansea tickets so it should be ok. The way to check, once the tickets are on sale, is to log into the online ticket site and check a) that there's a tick in the box against your name under the auto-cup scheme and b) that under your "purchase history" it says "pending" or (later) "print" for the Arsenal/Swansea game.
That's how it worked for Newcastle anyway.

Cheers. i did check "purchase history" straight after enrolling and not there but assumed I was being a bit premature. (That's not unlike me, though my girlfriend never complains).

The 30 points which could get you the plum seat for the cup final and the play off final

No, which is pathetic as all they are doing is activating a card, not exactly sending a ticket through the post like for match-by-match or away tickets.

I totally agree there should only be an admin fee if something is sent to you.

The ticket office staff are an obvious overhead the club has to bear the cost of, believe or not you need to sell tickets to get people to go to a football game.

I'd have guessed that getting a wank from a member of the Roman Catholic church would be more straightforward than you imagine.

The £2 charge was blamed on the ticketing system I seem to remember, not on the costs of the staff. Go in person and there's no fee

Specially if you are an under-age boy

You are missing the point, whether there is a cost for the system or not you need a system to sell tickets to get people to go to a game therefore an inbuilt cost that should not be charged back.

I've never been good at pulling though. Any tips? I pulled my girlfriend obviously but when she pulls me, she does it while sobbing heavingly and muttering about how short life is.

Sorry? Does this suggest (since I don't know the loyalty point awards off the top of my head) that you get extra points if you get the ticket through the auto-enrol, rather than just purchasing my STH seat when it's released on sale?

No, nothing it seems. Just that you have to enrol if you don't want the hassle of working out when to book once the cup draw is made.
