Nearly forgot this due to a bad hangover, Just checked the scores and we have had a good knock from Lukey, a total of 157 off the 20 overs.

Trouble is, we don't seem to be taking it seriously as we have put out a rubbish team.

Rubbish team how?

Because of the T20 specialists in there in place of the better known Test stars? People like Hales and Buttler, who are responsible for England posting anything like a decent score.

I agree with you Hans but even before his poor innings today I really don't see what Lumb's doing in the team. We have a lot of promising young batsmen and a few can open. He did ok in the 20/20 three years ago but bugger all since and clearly isn't the future

No arguments there. Hales and Wright should open - as they pretty much did anyway.

Buttler's cameo was splendid entertainment and has made it a competitive score to chase. 157/6 I think wasn't it?

We have a very poor looking bowling attack for starters, the Indians bat much deeper than us and I can't see them being troubled making 158.

The batting line up is flimsy as too many of the Test squad have been allowed back home for crimbo. we should have kept Trott, Swann and KP but, I accept they deserve a bit of a rest. Remember, KP has no problem with the demands of the IPL so why can't he turn out for the crest he has had tattooed on his arm and maybe up his value for the next auction ?

There is absolutely no reason for Lumb to be in that side. Bresnan is not a good enough bat to come in at 7 either and don't get me started on Tredwell at 8. Far too thin in the batting.

Always remember Murray Goodwin absolutely annihilate Stuart Meaker when he got 100 vs Surrey in T 20 at Hove.

Comedy fielding from Meaker, even Monty might of held that one

Well Meaker will be relieved, 2 balls later he's caught again, decent catch by Patel, pleased for Bres!

Unless we can do what India diid, and take 3 wickets in 3 overs for about 10 runs, WERE LOOSE.
