Im at Pride Park and stupidly the girlfriend and I didn't bring any cash with us. The cash point here doesn't work, no where does cash back, we're hungry and thirsty and they won't take cards in the concourse.

Anyway one of the Derby stewards/security guys has just lent us £30 and given us his details to pay him back. What an unbelievable gesture.

Must be a Derby County trait, generosity. A few seasons ago I drove up from Coventry leaving my work colleagues to their evening 'meeting'. I arrived at Pride Park without a ticket and very close to kick off time. Got sent to reception where they gave me a complimentary ticket for the away end. Sadly we lost and by the time I got back to Coventry everybody was pissed and enjoying themselves but I was impressed with DCFC's gesture.

That is a wonderful gesture and gives me a warm feeling to know there are still good people around. Don't just pay him back and give him a drink but contact the club to tell them what a great ambassador for the club they have.
