Our team from last year is not a patch on this one, the new signings, players returning from long term injuries and the changes in tactics have transformed us.

You can smell the bitterness is this post! Though to be fair Major, I'd also be f****** seething if we lost one of our best players on a free to our arch rivals then have to watch him smash one in during a 3-1 romping!

Glenn is a class act when the system is played to his strengths and thankfully the Doug has finally seen the light and Muzza and the team are transformed. Glenn will get AT LEAST 15 goals this season IMO and I reckon he's saving a couple for your tinpot outfit in December :D

Oh my aching sides

You sound like you are talking about Brighton there.

You've done well and are no doubt a decent side. But i think there are at least 4 or 5 better sides in this division over 46 games and i find the fact that you already have threads on this board about winning the league laughable.

We've transformed our team too. With a cracking defence and CMS is on fire at the moment.

You've had 2 good wins, one of which was lucky with 2 penalties. You'll be calling for dougies head in a few weeks again, I'm sure of it.

Our defence conceded 7 goals in the first 2 games. That was before we signed Blake and Delaney who have been fantastic additions. We also have our captain to return and Gabbidon to come in if needs be.

In regards to the attendence comment, i can't be bothered to argue this again. 2 years ago you got 6000 fans every home game so all the above shows is how tinpot and plastic your club is.

but not quite as laughable as the same posters on BBS who were calling for Freedmans head two weeks ago now posting that he is going to take you into the play offs !

Mind you you are officially "FICKLE"

Ask any Cardiff fan that was in attendance if it was lucky. I'm surprised Mackay didn't throw in the white towell, it was such a one sided match it was unreal.

I think there was a Freedman out poll on the BBS and 75% voted keep him in. I'm sure there were a few calls for Gus's head last season after your 10 game winless run? Some fans are fickle, it's a sad fact of football.

Freedman guilty of aftertiming imo. The full interview includes him talking about how Glenn's quality is obvious and those who doubted him are wrong, also that he needs two wide men to be feeding him crosses etc. Well Dougie, why play Jermaine Easter in his place? Why not play two wide men with Glenn through the middle (if that is what is needed?) Why sign Goodwillie and Wilbraham who are both central strikers if you need to play Glenn up top on his own?

The only thing he is right about is that Glenn's quality IS obvious. Especially compared to the likes of Easter. So how come he has warmed the bench for more than a third of the games they have played since he went there?

I don't think anyone's saying we're nailed on for promotion but looking at our players and style there is reason for optimism.

Let's play a game. Name 4 or 5 Championship players better in their position than:

1. Kuszczak
2.Bridge
3. El Abd
4. Greer
5. Bruno
6. Crofts
7. Bridcutt
8. Hammond
9. Orlandi
10. Buckley
11. CMS
12. Lopez
13. Vicente
14. Lua Lua
15. Dobbie
16. Barnes

I don't expect you to do them all but have a go at a few.

And our capacity was what? The fact we survived groundsharing 70 miles away then playing at an athletics stadium and still attracted thousands of fans hardly proves we're 'tinpot.'

I suppose Palace would've packed 29,000 into a roofless, temporary stand with capacity for 5,000 people.

You keep clutching at the same bunch of straws don't you?

As for being 'plastic and tinpot', I'd suggest that after being hindered by a capacity of initially 6,000 then 8,000 at the end, to sell out a 27,500 capacity stadium is the kind of 'plastic' you sad sacks can only dream of. We have a waiting list-you have Groupon and lamp-post begging posters. Which one illustrates 'tinpot' better do you think?

Let's remind you of 'plastics' shall we?

That'll be the 51,700 who decided to watch the title decider against Burnley in May 1979 in division 2, against the 4,005 who saw the 5-0 home defeat against Wimbledon a mere 4.5 years later. Yes, an incredible 92.3% seemed to have lost interest in that time.

Now, you were saying about plastics and tinpot?

Amex: Season Ticket waiting list. Selhurst:Buy 1 Get 2 Free and still less than 13000 turn up which includes away fans. You aren't exactly in the strongest position to argue numbers, especially if you engage that dormant organ between your ears and do a like for like comparison. Selhurst: less than 50% of capacity, The Amex? You already know the answer.

I think I'd rather have a 'plastic' club on the up, in a state of the art modern stadium than your perpetually half full (if you're lucky) shithole of a 'stadium' if it's all the same to you.

As a little reminder for you:

Chrystal Payless:

2001/2002 average attendance: 18,120
2003/2004 average attendance: 19,968 (this was your promotion season wasn't it?)
2011/2012 average attendance: 15,219

Anybody spot a trend here?

You do have a better average attendance record than us in one area though-that'll be the two times in front of the administrators as you were screwing local charities and businesses out of their money which your immoral club used to pay for a league position it couldn't afford.

Really? After Clyne has gone. Wasn't his right foot worth more than £2m?

Thank you.

There may well be. Still, if we finish 6th that'll be pretty good.

You can't be bothered to argue it yet again, and yet there you go, arguing it. The Withdean didn't hold many fans and uou'd have got less there (or in an equivalent stadium near you).

Let's remind you of 'plastics' shall we?
