Most unlikely based on the "special relationship" between Gus and the bibulous Glaswegian and probably just as well from the little that has been seen of the player - looked like a poor signing at the time and hasn't made any obvious progress since

According to United fans in my office he's come back a different player, featured prominently in their South Africa tour and got on the scoresheet, now 7th choice striker though so Sir Alex will entertain bids upwards of 4 million.

Ferguson signed the player without ever seeing him play. Judging by his appearances, he still might not have. There is forward beginning with M_______ they have got to pay somebody to sign as well.

reading reports from their pre-season games he seems to have played pretty well in the games he played.
but maybe a risk knowing his past history, on the field and off.

One of the most incredible cons in the history of football

Distinctly average 19 year old from the Portuguese third tier... A striker with a record of 4 goals in 20 something games- in the Portuguese third tier! = £7.4m

Even Roland Bergkamp would have been a better prospect!

I can't believe that Sir Alex, the greatest ever manager in the history of the game, would fall for a con, the guy has undisputed potential, just has not fulfilled that yet. Whoever acquires Bebe will know there is quite a player ready to be untapped....

On which of his appearances are you basing this critique.

Got a mate who's son played for utds reserves and youth cup winning side. Had the pleasure of watching a lot of reserve team games. Seen Bebe about ten times - he is rubbish take it from me. Was poor against Crawley in the cup too. That a good enough summary for you?

Thanks - just proves that football's gone f**king money mental.

7.4 million - maybe Ferguson's losing it

Saw him the other day, a united xi played against market drayton town and included the likes of bebe and macheda. Went to watch it and he looked terrible, i mean hr really was poor. Put 3 out of the ground before he scored the easiest of goals...and then put another out the ground 5mins later. HIGHLY doubt he will be coming to the amex wearing a blue and white striped shirt!

he was utter shit house in that Crawley game against a couple of non-leauge defenders. isnt he the player that Fergie didnt even check over just signed him on the advice of his assistant Queiroz?

Jeez, we've got a load of football managers on here haven't we, I know whose opinion I trust between you and Sir Alex/Man Utd scouts. One game where he was thrown in amongst a load of others who were thrown in and he must be a write-off.

i do trust Fergies judgment and he's only played him in half a dozen games over the past two years. he doesnt think he's good enough. that game he looked like he didnt know what to do (not the only one, alot of fringe players got found out, half that team are no longer at Man U).

No thanks, but if they wish to send us any of their other strikers than we may re-consider...i don't want to be greedy they can keep their first 3 choices but i'd take one from 4th to 6th Owen, Berbatov or Hernandez
