With any luck he'll fall flat on his face there. Looks like Arsenal are pursuing Llorente though so if yhey get him, van Persie won't missed.

Manchester United have two world class players now ...

Vidic and van Persie and must be an Evens bet for the Premiership.

RVP deal reported to be £24 mill with a 4 year deal for the player.

Seems a lot for a 29 year old who usually only plays half a season if he's lucky.

I see Owen Hargreaves all over again for UTD with this one.

Last season was his best regarding games played/ goals for years. Can only slide from that.

'Well there you go Sir Alex, does it again, pulls off another great transfer'.

I turned it off the slurping was so bad.

All Man Utd players do that, especially in the Stretford end penalty box.

Decent deal for both clubs, I guess. Arsenal get good money for a player who clearly wanted out, United get a very good player.

Errmm what do peel think about RVP and dream team? It could go either way IMO. May as well wait a couple of weeks to see if he gets injured.

I thought Man Utd were as poor as they have been for 20 years last season. That said they lost the title with the last kick of the season. Not bad for a poor team, now they got RVP I think a few quid at 5/2 maybe in order.
