Easy , are you copying filledout Sussex in your pointless palace threads ? Btw why aren't you on the BBS anymore ? Banned or flounced ? Copying 08 again :nono:
I don't know what any of this means but it doesn't seem to address the issue at hand, ie the emperor's lack of clothes. Palace fans have been pretty quiet on here for the last couple of weeks, it's strange, like, because they love it on here you would have to assume.

Reminds me of Mike Ashley's early days at newcastle, enjoying the game in with the fans before they turned on him.

Dougie can you confirm that really is Steve Parish's twitter account?
I don't generally get involved in the Palace baiting on here, but that is a pretty damning thing to say about your manager if it is genuine.

It is the genuine twitter account of SP , which makes it all so funny :)

CEO4TAG is Steve Parish, yes.

However, people on here are only quoting the one tweet, not the one he made very shortly after when he saw how people were overreacting/misunderstanding his tweet.

It was not a criticism of Dougie in any way, he was merely saying that he isn't in a position to answer why we play 2 defensive midfielders or one up front.

That last comment about one upfront and 2 dms is a bit worrying. Poss issues between board and manager? Hope not reading too much into this

Steve Parish ‏@CEO4TAG
paulross22 Just a statement of fact Paul to all the 'we're negative' tweets and posts and for me to do something about it

Also, losing with a second string side to a full strength Reading team isn't something to be ashamed of. We were beaten by a comfortably better side, who have an extremely talented forward in Pogrebynak.

I don't follow twitter but that account seems fairly genuine tbh . It seems a strange thing to say maybe he is frustrated like a few very vocal palace fans ATM . I've seen it all before so nothing surprises me but that's the beauty of following palace it's never boring !

if he's frustrated with freedman, then surely it would be best to say this to his face rather than all over the internet?

this isn't the first completely unprofessional statement he's made..........he's a chairman of a football club ffs

That's because, to most people, that follow up tweet wasn't any better. The problem with the first tweet is that he pushes his manager under the bus. "Those things you're complaining about? It's all Dougie's fault".

The follow up is simply "What? I'm telling the truth, it is his fault".

The fact he doesn't back track or try to spin things to protect the manager or the public perception of the club's management relationships, makes his explanation as bad as the original tweet, and continues to leave Freedman out to dry.

If one was so inclined, one could read into the follow up tweet that it was directed at Freedman, emphasising the very point of his first tweet.

Sorry , can you run that by us again ? Ahem ? A 2nd string side ? FFS your squad included Speroni, Ward, Moxey, Martin, McCarthy, Parr, Wright, Garvan, Williams, Wilbraham plus Ramage, O'Keefe, Murray, Easter, Dikgacoi and Zaha. By the way , in our friendly against Reading they were well chuffed with getting a last minute equaliser.

haha, come off it....the original tweet is clearly criticising freedman.........if it isn't then he needs some serious media management, because the vast majority of people would see it this way (and evidently, most of them did)

or, he could act like an actual football chairman and NOT POST ON TWITTER

It seems he is frustrated with fans asking the same questions about team matters . I'm sure he and Dougie get on just fine . I don't like twitter and I don't think he is wise tweeting palace related things on there but that's just my opinion .

Indeed, the second tweet makes it worse.

Kean or Freedman to win the championship sack race?

Has anyone pointed out that the tweet Parish was replying to didn't accuse the team of being negative, just the fans felt down about their prospects. Parish then launched into talking about 2 dm's and 1 striker, which was nothing to do with the question?

It included those, yes. Williams went off in the first 20 minutes, Murray, Easter, Ramage, Zaha etc. were all subs. Jedinak who is one of our most important players didn't play.

A Palace side without Williams, Zaha and Jedinak is not even close to full strength.

Are you all too blinkered to consider that he was perhaps trying to make the point that he doesn't get involved with tactics?
