Oh come on, is it really so unrealistic that we're going to sign a player from one of the richest clubs in the world who probably earns more on his own than our entire squad (with the exception of Bridge), and who, if he was to leave Chelsea, would have his pick of top flight clubs around the world? Seems like an entirely likely scenario to to me.


If we did get him, it would be concrete proof of the existence of Gus's rumoured "hypnotic powers" as per those comments from the Peterborough chairman.

Yeah I saw that and was shocked, assumed he was about 33. I'm sure there's a precedent with African players, where their "official" age and real age are perhaps not one and the same?
