Pleased with Kuszczak's signing - kudos to the OP who said so, if he'd been just a little less certain when quoting dates it would happen, he'd perhaps have been believed more readily at the time.

In fairness you can't say that Gus doesn't know what he is looking for in terms of a front man - Hoskins/Church/Cox/Paynter/Vokes - all quite similar in terms of their attributes and how they play. Trouble is that where we have been able to try this type of player it hasn't been a resounding success.

Church is still quite young (23) but doesn't have a great goal scoring record. Only a year left on his deal and with them spending a fortune on Pavel Pogrebnyak's wages (meant to be £65k a week) they'll hopefully be keen to offload and not demand much cash for him should we do make a move
