We wore that kit at my first away game - Southend 1976.

I remember us playing an evening fixture away at Gillingham in a green & black kit in the mid 70's. You could hardly see us in the gloom - I think Sammy Morgan scored .

Perhaps your interpretation of "conclusive proof" is slightly different to most other people but I don't see what that photo is proving.

1900 - green and white stripes with black socks

Both pre-Brighton & Hove Albion and as close as we ever came

If EVER posts deserved a "facepalm" more than these I must have missed them.

You mean the video that was posted by someone else?

Yep that's the one, though I don't get what relevance who posted it has. Plenty of us on here remember us wearing that kit ( I can also remember us playing in red and blue), your post suggests to me that you don't & don't believe that we ever did .
your right though the photo doesn't actually prove we wore the kit

I'm pretty sure with away shirts, it was this...
1975/76 Green shirts
1976/77 Red shirts
1977/78 Blue shirts and red shirts
1978-80 Yellow shirts and blue shirts

I stand to be corrected...
