I take it I'm the only one who thinks this was a harsh sacking.

I know they didn't do too great in the league and should've finished at least in the top 6 but they got to 2 cup finals and won a trophy and were very unlucky in the F.A Cup final, I think he'd have done a much better job next season but football is a funny game.

He was taking them backwards. Nothing pointed to the fact they would be better next season, they were getting worse as the season went on if anything.

I wonder if he would have been sacked had they won the FA Cup.

They seem devastated he's gone, that's the mad thing about it all

I think they're in denial over it all. Having so vociferously called for their idol to be put in charge, they'd look even stupider to be celebrating his exit now. Liverpool fans will pretend that a draw with Cardiff City to win the Carling Cup, and an FA Cup final defeat has apparently been a "good season", when the fact of the matter is that Dalglish has led them through a calamity of a League campaign, purchased a series of duffers, ravaged the the coffers at Anfield and done untold damage to the image of the club.

Good call, bindippers. Good call.

And thank God we don't have to listen to any more of his odious Scottish ramblings on MOTD.

Do you post deliberately idiotic stuff just to get attention or what ?

CALM DOWN DEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why should he not be a contender. He's done a good job at Liverpool. Two cup finals this season. Where did they finish in the premiership? Given the same finances as United, City and Chelsea they would have done better. I think he's a little bit above the likes of BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION.

When will clubs ever learn? Never take an ex manager back. It 99.9999% of the time ends in tears as we know to our cost re Adams. Liverpool fan's were calling for their 'messiah' to come back. They had their way. Despite the hollow ramblings from Dalglish about bringing silverware back to Anfield this season, his tenure has been a disaster.

Whoever said Americans don't understand Football? They owners got this one spot on.

I'm quite calm thank you.

I'm just astonished if you genuinely think Dalglish could be a contender for the job here if Gus were to leave. I mean what on earth kind of thought process are you going through in order to arrive at that conclusion ? Could you honestly see Dalglish on Tony Blooms shortlist in the event of him looking for a replacement ?

Or are you just being a bit of a silly billy.

He spent £120m.

He easily matched the opposition in spending.

Fact is he was woefully out of his league. He never was a great manager ever. He rode his luck with a squad built by his predecessor the first time he was Liverpool manager, bought the league at Blackburn and then got found out at Newcastle.

He was undoubtedly a legend of a player and I hope he is remembered that way.

Liverpool fans just wish he had been in the "boot room" mould. I wish he had too, but he isn't.

As for him being at BHA. Ridiculous idea and anyway I wouldn't want him in charge of my team.
