So it appears that the CPFC2010 chaps have scrapped plans to build a new stadium and will instead redevelop SP.

Interesting move this. Will be a good test of how serious they are as owners as they will have to pay for the lot with no money from the sale of SP.

...sadly for Palace this will mean that they will miss out on the 'new ground' excitement that increases attendances.

We'll see.

Apparantly a complete rebuild. Wonder if they'll flatten what's there entirely and groundshare with Crawley while the work is done?

I know many will disagree on here but IMO an impressive stand to replace the shitty AW, a bit of a tart up around the other areas and I think selhurst park would be a pretty decent looking old fashioned stadium.

A bit of a shame - their new stadium proposal looked good to me.

Just far enough away from LDC
A new main stand and a replacement for the drab and cavernous Arthur Waite with some conference facilities and it'll just about do them as a lower mid table tier 2 side.

Coincidentally Ocean Finance TV has recently disappeared from Sky and Freesat. A £60M Payday loan would be the only alternative but the interest rates are too exhorbitant.

Quite a few Conference sides have better grounds than Smellhurst

More than happy to have selhurst redevelop, a couple of new stands would bring the ground up to modern standards ,too many new stadiums are to much like fish bowls with no Features ,the Amex is one of the better new builds.
The down side with selhurst is getting to the ground which can be painful.

Nope, it'll still be utter crap. Proper modern stadiums need a much bigger footprint than Selhurst Park can provide. Anyone who remembers the old Stamford Bridge will tell you the plot was absolutely enormous, and even then they've only managed to build big enough stands to hold 42,000.
