What a farce of a football club?

Apparently when The Venkys brought Blackburn, they thought they were buying a franchise & didn't realise the concept of relegation. Who's going to break the news to them?

The Venkys may be piss poor owners but Blackburn Fans have behaved like twats. Their treatment of Steve Keene has been a disgrace. Tonight instead of getting behind their team, they spent the evening spitting venom at the manager. No manager deserves to have golf & tennis balls thrown at them. They deserve to go down.

What a bold act of bravado from the fan who tore up his season ticket on the last game of the season & threw it into the dugout in protest? What a sacrifice? Just one problem - The halfwit threw it into the Wigan dugout by mistake?! :dunce:

See you next season lads.

Yeah the fans throwing their STs and burning them arent the sharpest tools in the box. But their fans have shown no support to the club, yes the owners have ruined the club - doesnt stop them supporting the team.

That said, Steve Kean will probably be sacked - and i have no idea who would want to take the job.

Is it just me that REALLY likes Steve Kean.

Placed in a ridiculous position and always comes across as a guy with class.

Bradley Orr has just done one of the best interviews I have seen by a footballer.

Took the blame on behalf of the players and spoke of the shit storm that Kean has had to tolerate.

Top man

The fact none of you actually seem to be able to spell his name is worrying. It's Steve Kean for future reference. Not Keen, or Keene!

I can understand the fans anger towards the Venky's and towards Steve Kean. Throughout this whole season he has not been honest with the fans once. He has placed players on the 'injury' list and then subsequently either sacked, or sold, them because they either needed the money or because they haven't been getting behind the Venky's plans. They spent ages claiming they wouldn't sell Samba when he said he wanted to go, the decided that actually they couldn't afford to keep him anymore and if they didn't sell him they would have gone into administration.

Also maybe the players didn't feel motivated because of the fans, but also because of Kean as well. Players have come out stating that they did not support him (Jason Roberts and Christopher Samba were two notable examples and look what has happened to them!) Loads of times he has stated there wasn't any issues in the dressing room, yet he had a fight with N'Zonzi (which may or may not have ended up in a punch up) and yesterday he had to yet again deny any problems in the dressing room. Players wanted to leave because of him and not the fans.

And if you watched past the final whistle you would have noticed the fans were actually slapping the players on the back and shaking their hands. All of their anger was directed at the liars who put them in that situation. Really can't blame them for what they are doing.

Watching the interview with Kean on Sky Sports News now - he honestly looks like hes been crying - cant blame the guy. Blackburn player Bradley Orr also gave an interview and has said the players are taking full responsibility and is the only player giving an interview - only joined the club 4 months ago too.

Steve Kean has tried to do an almost impossible job in a hostile atmosphere. He's acted with dignity considering, but for his own good, he should leave & let them stew in their own mess.

Steve Kean must have some seriously thick skin to put up with this shit for as long as he has. Maybe he isn't up to the job but perhaps given a decent chance & the right support he could have at least staved off relegation. Fair enough blame the Venkys but I'd say half these so called fans have got what they wanted tonight with Kean taking Blackburn down. He was on a hiding to nothing from day 1. I wish Steve Kean all the very best & if does decide to do the right thing & leave then I really hope we thump Blackburn at the Amex next season (although I hope we do regardless). Really give those northern monkeys something no whinge about. Just a pity Villa and their band of not so merry fans haven't been relegated too.

Reminds e a bit of the archer days...hated owners, under fire managers, team imploding on the pitch, mass demonstrations, frustrated fans.

Fair play to him. He could have walked but would probably have got nothing. Hope he gets a good pay off.

Honourable bloke, and he cannot be tagged one of "the liars".

Age old story of having many of your best players (Ryan Nelsen, Samba, Emerton .... 2 mid season) sold from under your feet, and not replaced.

Lancs Police look forward to the 2 (morning kickoffs) games against the Scum from Burnley.

Not a million miles behind awful Villa, QPR and Bolton teams on points, with at least 2 of them having the full backing of their fans at all home games.
What might have been with loyal fans?

Over there
Early in the season I had time for the Blackburn fans and there protests against the Venkys group. But the last few months I've been disgusted by the treatment of Kean.
In fact you could almost say the treatment has been FOWL. eeeeh get it? Venkys ? Hhmmmmmmmmm

Saw some fans actually going home on the telly - before Wigan scored! I have zero understanding of that given its their last home game of the season and they needed all the support they could get. I know there are always circumstances why people have to leave early but surely they could have made an exception ffs !!!!

He won't be going anywhere, venky's can't afford to sack him, they are skint, he's on 1.5m pa and back end of last year he completed an extension to his contract.
