The obvious thread to run parallel with 'the worst' thread.

I'm sticking with 5-live and going with Peter Allen, Drive.

The guy knows his stuff, enjoys his 'place' when doing the lighter stuff.

But is an absolute pitbull when this get political and heavy.

For me it's Paul Hawksbee on Talksport. The guy is a legend.

I also dabble in a bit of James Whale from time to time, although I'm well aware he's not everyone's cup of tea!!

I imagine some HATE his presenting style but I think Colin Murray on fighting talk and his football weekend preview shows is excellent.

Though, to be fair, im obsessed with fighting talk in general so I would probably like whoever presents that.

Could be a number of 5live presenters for me. Peter Allen definitely up there.

Peter Allen, for sure
I remember listening quite a while ago, and PA was doing a reasonably light piece with some woman, who obviously didn't know who she was talking to.
Very early on she said words to the effect of:-
'no Peter you listen to me'.

He went nuclear on her, he completely ripped her apart.
Everything she said he validly pulled her apart on, and had to be dragged from her quivering carcase, by Jane Garvy.

Happy days

Me to, it seems so easy until someone new comes in, other than Nick Hancock, then I realise it has always been very well presented.

For me it has to be the late great Bob Holness, or Alan 'Fluff' Freeman.

None of the modern generation can compete with such LEGENDS of radio.

Used to love listening to LBC News Radio and Capital in the '80's.

Over the years the TMS team by a country mile in regards talk radio, although the addition of the Worlds Greatest Living Yorkshireman has somewhat diluted the pleasure recently.

In regards of music radio I used to love Fluff Freeman on the Saturday Rock Show back in the 70's and 80's.....
